"Don't say you got in trouble again? I can feel it. “ Marie said as Silas arrived, trying to hide from her; she continued, “No, I actually don't want to know as I still have all of these papers that you pushed at me on.”
Silas laughed jokingly and said, “Don’t say that. You’re the best there is, after all.”
“Timothy left you something at your table," Marie said as she rolls her eyes, then she averts her gaze, looking at her boss, tired of his behavior.
"Marie, my sweet Marie, do you know how much I do love that attitude of yours? You also know I'm useless with paperwork and better at making connections and money, right?" Silas said while looking at Marie, who suddenly grabbed the closest object from her, that was an inkbottle, and threw it at her boss.
"Ayay!" Silas caught it and said, "Marie, you are lucky that the ink bottle is closed and not open.
“You know I'm not a masochist, but for you, I will make an exemption and let you dominate me at any time you want," Silas said while placing back the inkbottle on the table.
"Go fuck yourself. You have a working hand and a vivid imagination, so only in your dreams. I would be happier if you will get me a helper here that can help me take care of my work while I'm doing yours." Marie said after she raised her hand and showed Silas her middle finger.
The boss pretended to be hurt by the gesture, "Marie, I didn't know that you were this violent. Where’s my sweet Marie? But if it's a helper you want, then I will hire two for you immediately." Silas said while making a dramatic gesture to make his words more exaggerated.
She snorted, "Oh, thanks. That will make my life so much easier. But knowing you- that may never happen as it hasn't happened ever before," Marie said while looking at all of the work that was pending now because of her boss.
"But Marie, you are so beautiful. I don't want any other male to come here and watch you if they aren't married or in a relationship. Do you know how hard it is to find a female worker or any male that is in a relationship here?" Silas made more dramatic gestures.
This time Silas is not lying. It was true that even when Marie had eye bags under her eyes, and she has glasses, she was beautiful. Even Marie wasn’t aware of how beautiful she was.
She had shoulder-length long brown hair and a pair of exquisite green eyes. Marie was slim, and she had moderate breasts and buttocks, which suited her tiny and petite frame. She had a v-shaped face and heart-shaped lips that many women would kill to have.
So she’s really pretty, and if she would just take care of herself and her body, no man would be able to take their eyes off of her, so Silas wasn't exaggerating that much.
"Silas, you blonde idiot! Just hire someone now! I don't even know who or where you’ll find someone but just find someone!” Marie ranted, “Timothy is recommending to be hired soon. What if it's male? Will you throw him away because of that? Oh right! Maybe you are scared that they will turn gay when they would see you as people still sometimes mistake you for a female. I think even Timothy thought you were female first. Didn't he also get into a fight with his wife because of that?" Marie continued savagely embarrassing Silas.
"It's not my fault that I do have blonde hair that I keep to my shoulder or that I have a slim face and body. I know I'm beautiful, Marie, you don't have to remind me about it." Suddenly a knocking was heard, and the smell of food came out from the door.
"The food delivery is here. Silas, the boss, told me to get the money for the payments for all the damages you and Timothy had caused in the restaurant. Else, we won't deliver food for you anymore." The man who was delivering the food said.
"Silas! What the hell did you and Timothy do again?! Oh! I already said I don't want to know. I really don't want to know." Marie kept muttering as she took the food from the delivery man.
"Here you go, good man. Say thank you to your boss and that we will use his services more," Silas said while throwing a coin purse at the delivery man.
"Marie, I will leave you to eat now. I will check Timothy's paper then and see who he is recommending this time," Silas said while going inside his office.
After he closed the door behind him, "So let's see, I guess it's these papers here.”
He continued, “Oh, it’s a test for Northgate. interesting." He said, now gathering all his attention in paper.
He found himself smirking as he read through the paper- it was impressive.
"Arwin, I cannot say the gender from the name, but seeing these answers, I guess it's a he. Well, almost impossible for women to be mechanic around here. I don't know how they can throw a skilled mechanic and pilot like this., Heh, this is good for us. I needed a pilot for delivering the necessary items to the workers outside and then get the cargo from them back to here." Silas continued to mutter more to himself, “Seriously, they have no idea just how much potential they just threw away.”
When he finally was done with the papers, he rushed out of the office, "Marie, I finally found the perfect person for us. I'm going to go and register him as a citizen of the city as a worker under us before someone else tries to claim him or offer him a better position. If Timothy got these test papers, it must mean he is interested in working for our company." He shouted before running out from the door to the nearest office building where he could register this prodigy for their company.
He didn't know how Timothy did find the perfect person every time, but it was never a loss for him. Silas couldn't let this just pass this opportunity this easily.
Silas had wanted someone to fly an old steamship for a long time now. However, no one seemed to know how to fix or use those things. Because of that, his storage still has an old and broken steamship that was never used.
Now he finally found a person to use it and his delivery problems would be long gone after it would be fixed.
Silas was thrilled and wanted to make this man to work under him as soon as possible. He says while whistling, “Oh, it’s a good day to be alive.”
Silas was so excited and was experiencing such a thrill. He was rushing his way to meet Arwin that he didn't saw the people, so he ended up bumping into lots of objects and people without caring about them and just getting up and continuing running. He says carefreely, “Sorry about that; I’m about to meet someone truly remarkable!” Everyone looked at him- all were estranged, but he didn’t care. Silas has his eyes set on meeting Arwin. Finally, when he got to the office, he barged inside, making the employees jump up for their seats, scaring some of them completely. They were remarking, “You scared the crap out of us. Why are you here?” The guards automatically threw their weapons out, but when they saw that Silas was unarmed, they placed their swords in halfway on their scabbard, ready to draw them at any time if Silas would show any signs of hostility. Silas was welcomed with protests, “Silas, what the hell was that? Do you kno
"Timothy, how did you get in that condition so quickly? Oh wait- let me guess- was it because Silas and some woman once again?" The doctor said while starting to rummage through his medical equipment. Timothy coughed roughly and said, “Well, what else do you expect?” "Sit down, you know the drill, and that this will hurt a little bit. Just bear with it." The doctor said as he started to clean the wounds on Timothy's head. "Argh! Even though I have gone through this so many times, it always stings like hell." Timothy was complaining while trying not to make any sounds bearing the pain as usual, “How does it look, Doc?” The doctor teased him, “Apart from all the mess I’ve seen you in? This is just a playground scratch for you.” Timothy laughs, fighting the urge to scream in pain. The doctor saw how much pain he was in, and he explained. "It's even worse when there is dried alcohol and pieces of shattered glass all over your hair or skin,
"Y..yo...you are saying that she is that Arwin? She wrote this all? A...and I just made an identification card for a male when it should have been made for a female?" Silas finally muttered out as he sat down on the nearest chair, concerned, “Are you trying to curse me for what I did earlier? Are you kidding me right now?” Silas looked at the doctor to confirm this. The doctor looked away as he chuckled nervously, “Ah, yes, she’s a woman.” "Yes, that is what I'm saying. Who asked you to rush things without even meeting the person first? This is entirely your fault, Silas." Timothy said out while looking at Silas, almost mockingly. He was really having fun seeing his boss like that. It felt like the perfect payback for what happened earlier; Timothy can’t help but grin. "You know, Timothy, this small card costs fifty gold coins now. It cannot be undone when it's done once. So, if you don't want to pay the new one from your own salary, and this one top of it, y
Timothy told Rosa everything that had happen earlier- trying to make it sound less gruesome and violent as it originally was. After retelling the events earlier, Rosa said to him, "You know I have never liked Silas. He is just an annoying asshole. I still don't know why you are working under him. Ah, my poor husband." She reached out and carefully touched his chest, “I think you should consider quitting.” "Me neither, my dear Rosa, I don’t like him- not even by a little BIT. Still, I have to try and endure a little bit, my sweetheart.” Timothy’s eyes sparked with determination as he continued, “I have a plan; listen to me. All of this enduring is to get money to start a life here again as in the mainland, it didn't work out, and we both have fallen love with this continent already. I always thought that if I endured and managed to find a mechanic for Silas who could rebuild or repair the airship, we can steal it after that. For the crew, of course, we would t
The next morning arrived as the sun touches Timothy’s face. He woke up; he immediately ate breakfast before heading towards the doctor's clinic His wife was still cooking some food; Rosa tried to stop him and shouts, “Are you leaving already? I cooked you your favorite!” “Thanks! I’ll be having them later! Save me some, okay?” Timothy shouts back as he left. He was more than eager to meet Arwin, but as he stepped inside, he saw Mark cleaning the office like usual. He thought of Mark as some clean freak kind of guy. Timothy’s eyes immediately searches for her clinic bed, and there he saw Arwin was still peacefully sleeping. It was a relief for him. "Hello, Mark, is the old man awake yet?" Timothy asked. Before the other man could answer, the doctor shouted out. "Yes, I'm in the kitchen. Come and join me for a cup of tea." “Well, you heard him,” Mark replied with such a straight face, he rarely shows emotions, and when he does- i
Arwin looked confusedly around her; she didn't recognize the current room where she was, but she recognized it as a clinic after watching a little bit around of her and seeing all of the things related to medicine. She could feel his head throbbing, an intense pain making her uncomfortable. She suddenly remembered how scare she felt last night. Arwin knew she couldn’t hear anything. But before she has the time to worry about herself, she suddenly saw an old man coming out from a door, and she put her guard up, but when she saw Timothy behind the old man, she relaxed somewhat before saying. It was a familiar silhouette, Arwin thought. She recognized the young man. "You saved me? Thank you so much, and sorry for being a burden. I haven't even caught your name, and you already brought me to a clinic." Arwin says as she sat back down on her hospital bed. "My name is Timothy, and the man next to me is Jonn, even when we mostly call him an old man o
When the doctor had gotten halfway through his story Timothy came in and asked immediately, "John, is Arwin at the condition to walk now, or do I have to wait?" "She's fine to walk; she just finished eating also, but take it slowly first and no fights or anything, okay?" The doctor replied curiously. It was interesting to see Timothy act urgently. “I can’t promise that, but I’ll make sure Arwin won’t be back here getting treatment from you today.” Timothy smiled mischievously The doctors smiled as he shook his head in disappointment. "Okay. Arwin, I think I found your pistol, but they refused to sell it to me, saying that you are the only one who can buy it directly. They were snickering and clearly looking down on you. They said you have this week to buy it before the auction as per rules. I have your papers here, and we can go there and demand your pistol. They even dare to laugh at my face when I said your name. They said I am a friend of wannabe f
After Arwin finished her inspection, she then looked at the tools and all of the things stacked next to the ship with a deep frown. Seeing this, someone from the audience shouted out, "Do you just plan to stare at it." "Stop pretending and give up already." Another one from the crowd yelled. The elder snickered at the rest of the crowd was booing and laughing at her. Arwin didn't care about the constant noise of ridicule around her. At that moment, she was in a world of her own. She was listing all the problems on the ship, noting them all inside her head. After looking it through, she took a pencil and wrote the answers to those questions that needed it. Some of the problems had to demonstrate and fix on the ship, and they were marked with a star, which could be dealt with later on. As soon as Arwin was done with the paper, the shouting began again. "What nonsense did you write there for you to finish that quickly?" th
