No one was bidding anymore. The tension in the room grew as Mark raised his auction gavel. He raised the gavel decisively and counted down to three. Everyone's breath was held as the gavel finally came down, producing a clang to signal that the bidding was closed.

In a steady voice, Mark announced, "With the final bid from Mr. Ethan, this painting is officially his for 150 million dollars."

Ethan smiled widely, feeling such a sweet victory. However, his gaze also shifted to Amelia, paying homage to the love and courage she had shown. He turned towards Mark, looking at him appreciatively.
