Chapter Eight

"Don't dare touch him!" A cold voice commanded and everyone went still, turning to the direction of the voice. It was a lady dressed in all leather. Her dress fell just below her thighs and her knee length boots clicked on the rules floor loudly as she walked across.

"He doesn't belong here, he has no invitation," Grace snapped at the stranger.

The girl was wearing a pair of sunglasses that covered her small face and her black hat hid her perfectly, almost like she didn't want to be recognized. "It doesn't matter," she said.

Grace sneered at him, "Is this your toy? You really think she can intimidate me?!" Grace snapped and immediately, her husband, Fiona's father walked to the scene too. It was a Tudor family banquet and most members of the family were in attendance.

"Who is this?" George asked, scowling at the girl, "Who invited her?" He asked.

"I'm sure she is Alexander's toy, he brought her here to get back at Fiona," Grace said and laughed, "Don't you know that she would never want anything

to do with you no matter the tricks you pull?" She snapped.

That was when George noticed Alex and angrily sneered at him, "I might have to knock some sense into you, how dare you show up to my banquet uninvited?!" He snapped.

Alexander didn't know what to say, he hadn't been invited but the Sean family had been invited and he wasn't ready to bare his cards and tell them who he truly was, so he remained silent. "I was invited," be replied calmly and Grace snorted at him, "Pathetic liar, who would waste their invite on a nobody like you?" She asked mockingly, turning to look at the mystery girl that just stood there, her hands folded across her chest and just staring through her large frames.

Alexander looked around the room, trying to find Brad. Surely he had a way to identify them without giving away their identity and somehow sort out the invite. But he couldn't find Brad anywhere around.

"He's with me, Grace, let him be," the mystery girl said. The guards all paused and looked at Grace questioningly. Grace looked at the girl again and right then, she pulled off her glasses.

Grace and George gasped and immediately bowed to her respectfully, "Alicia McIntyre," they said in unison, "I didn't know that was you," Grace added.

The guards who had surrounded Alexander suddenly let go of him and apologized. "We didn't know that was you, I apologize for this fuss, I'll make sure we send this riffraff off," George said.

"You won't do that, he's with me," Alicia said and George wanted to argue, after all, Alicia was about half his age and he didn't want her going around telling him what to do. But Grace was calmer, she knew that Alicia was the heiress of the McIntyre family and she might have been very young but she was the heiress.

"Oh, come on, darling, I'm sure we can let him stay for her sake," Grace said with a smile and told the guards to go. George nodded and smiled at Alicia, "Of course, enjoy the banquet," he said and left.

Grace glared at Alexander but didn't say anything, she turned and left too. Alexander was fascinated with how the proud Tudor family humbled before her. "Who are you?" He asked curiously and she pulled off her hat.

Alexander smiled as he recognized her, she was the girl from last night in the pool. Although she didn't look as pale or helpless as she had in the water, her sharp gray eyes still stared at him, yeah, it was definitely her.

"So, you didn't get an invite?" She asked and he shook his head, "It's complicated," he replied. Alicia extended a pretty manicured hand and said, "I'm McIntyre, Alicia McIntyre," she said and he took her hand, smiling right back. "Good to meet you."

She still looked a little surprised, "What are the odds that I'll see my savior just after a night, I never thought I'd see you again," she said.

"Small world," he replied, smirking.

Just then, he could see Fiona marching towards him, she had just arrived at the party with her new lover and she wasn't happy to see him. "How dare you show up here?! Didn't I tell you we are done?!" She snapped.

"I'm not here to see you, Fiona," he retorted calmly. She snorted at his tone and looked at Alicia. "I'm so sorry, Alicia, I don't know how this loser got here," she said.

"Why are you guys doing that? I just met your mother and she acted in the same manner, what did he do to you guys?" Alicia asked, her eyes narrowed.

"He's inconsequential, he's just a loser and__" she began but this time, Alicia cut her in.

"I don't think you should keep saying that. This man saved my life last night, if not for him, I wouldn't be standing here right now, I owe him my life," she stated.

"But he's not welcomed here, he isn't a part of the Tudor family anymore, I'm done with___" Alicia

leveled her a stare that made her keep silent.

"You're trying to sign a deal with my father, isn't that right?" She asked. Fiona nodded, the Tudor company had been trying for many months to sign a deal with McIntyre, she felt honored that they'd even come to her banquet, the invitation had just been a task of faith. "Yes, Alicia, and I know that he listens to you, I'm pretty sure you can put in a good word for me," she said hopefully.

"That depends on you, if you treat him right then I just might consider talking to my father about that investment," Alicia said, a cocky smirk on her lips.

Fiona was red with subdued anger, she smiled through clenched teeth and nodded, "Anything for you, Alicia, I'm sure one more uninvited guest won't hurt," she replied.

"And you'll get him the best seat in the VIP section, get him the best wine in the house and make sure he's well taken care of, after all, it's your banquet," she demanded.

Fiona was stunned but she nodded, she was ready to do anything for the Tudor family.
