Chapter 29

The cameras switched to Pennsylvania, erupting cheering from the pledgers. Almost all the pledgers enjoyed watching him. There was always something about the way the task freaked him out, which was a delight to watch and very entertaining. He was always among the first to take on the task but was always a wreck by the time he was done.

They watched as he dressed up. He was one of the players that looked to have no problem with the challenge, even though he was married. He looked determined. His wife was in the bathroom preparing to go and visit their daughter. They were supposed to go together, but Pennsylvania saw it as an opportunity to deal with his task while his wife was away.

She had no idea about the games or the contract her husband signed, and he wanted it to stay that way, especially if he failed to make it out alive from the games. He did not want to cheat on her, but he convinced himself it was for both their benefits. They both wanted their daughter to live a happy life
