Chapter 30

Pennsylvania was trembling, glued to his spot as Karen's husband knelt over his wife's body his mouth agape.

He was in a good position to look for a way out of the house, but his thoughts were elsewhere. He dashed up the stairs, searching every room for the murderers. He thought the organization was inside the house and they shot Karen despite the fact that she was holding the gun.

Downstairs, the neighbors began knocking on the door. They had heard the moaning, which was followed by shouting and gunfire. Some had already called the police. Since the door was open, they began walking into the house to the horror of Karen's dead body in the arms of her husband, who kept yelling for her to open her eyes.

The scene in front of them was not farfetched; they always knew Karen's presumptuous life was going to be her ending. They all dropped in, searching for the man she was caught with, but saw nothing. They were sure no one had run out of the door or maybe he went through the back window.
