Yu Chen glared at the simmering runes before him.

Excitement suddenly bubbled within Yu Chen's body.

The HP represents his lifeforce. This one must not be depleted or, he would risk going into a deep sleep that leaves him vulnerable.

And lastly, the stages of his growth.

The only thing he saw at this moment is a boldly written, Seeker on his status screen.

'Seeker huh?'

This was his class. His class can be pushed to the next level when his EXP had accumulated to a certain degree. This was the struggle and, EXP can only be accumulated by, killing lifeforms or eating.

And last but not the least, is the Death points. This one is accumulated by the number of EXP been gathered. If an individual gathered a total of 50 EXP, it means the person would get 5 Death points almost like one fifth of the EXP points and it is awarded as death point.

There was a glaring flaw though. It is very hard to accumulate death points. This one use is to increase the points on every stat and also, it is used to buy weapons from the shop.

Speaking of shop, Yu Chen summoned the shop and the previous runes disappeared into nothingness and new runes manifested.

Yu Chen's mood sank.

Only two common weapons were in the shop and he would get an update it be breaks through to the next class.

Yu Chen sighed and he spent a sum of 43 points purchasing the two weapons and the Void Staff and Death's Spear materialized in his palm in a whirlwind of light.

He still needed to equip the weapons.

Without wasting time, he equipped the weapons and a notification popped up.

[Ding! + 2 increase in speed, + 4 control over the void, +5 neat power of Death Energy expenditure, +5 increase in combat power +5 increase in attack power, +4 increase of successful summoning from the underworld.]

"Whoa, that's a lot of increase!"

These were just perks or boost.

"Now my innate affinity."

The system vanished and a new runes popped out.

These affinities were more like abilities that can be used.

Then the main ability:

And,

[Plague Specter]

The Death from above is an ultimate skill that is a wide-range attack. It summons annihilating skulls and bones from the underworld that attacks the enemy.

While Plague Specter is an attack that is command from an angle. It's a whirlpool and a torrent. Almost like tornado of knives that cuts the victim to shreds within it.

Yu Chen smiled.

The Death's Spear vanished, leaving only the Void Staff within his grasp.

He looked at the second depth of the Cauldron.

He moved to the third.

All that awaited him was misfortune, and the pressure descended, but now Yu Chen seem to have awakened even though he used death as a means, it wasn't so crippling, he moved to the fourth depth.

The depth of Crisis!

Everything he faced now was placed with one challenge or the other and the difficulty increases as the level increases.

The Crisis of all dangers one could think of in this world mounted on him like a heavy lead. And while Yu Chen might have awakened, he still spat out blood.

One can only escape from the depth by crossing through all of the seven, survival is the only leeway to life, without survival one can simply just die.

He crossed to the fifth depth.

The depth of darkness.

A powerful surge of darkness swirled endlessly and then, manifested into a scythe that slammed downwards, distorting the void.

Yu Chen's pupils shrank and he waved the Void Staff and Death's aura leaked.

He used Plague Specter and the attack collided upon the scythe of darkness.

There was a deafening sound.

Boom!

Yu Chen's hands turned numb and he retreated. But then, the void split open and he appeared at the other end of the Cauldron...

The sixth depth.

The depth of heat and cold.

Yu Chen felt the distortion in space. The temperature fluctuated, sometimes it can be very hot or very cold.

He dismissed the Void Staff and jumped from one part of the Cauldron to another. It wasn't easy to endure the change in temperature.
