Louis had found himself in a dilemma.

If he refused to insult Eagles Bank, he would save his neck from a truckload of trouble.

Apologizing to Moses and the Doberman clan would not just cost him his humiliation but would boost Umbrella International Bank's ratings and positive remarks in the public eyes.

This wasn't part of the plan.

Louis was paid to sow seed of doubts and puncture holes in the Doberman clan's integrity, but it all backfired to him.

With no other options left, Louis went down on his hands and knees and bowed deeply before Moses.

“I apologize to you, Moses and the Doberman clan, for questioning your transparency. I wasn't thinking straight,” Louis declared.

Moses wasn't satisfied. He wanted to destroy Eagles Bank for daring to taint his clan's reputation.

“I encourage everyone to bank with us,” Moses announced. “Eagle's Bank seemed insecure about their abilities. We may be new, but we have more capabilities than eagle's Bank. No further questions.”

On December 19th, the infinite castle was finally completed. Moses stood at the rooftop of the colossal building, wearing a black trench coat which billowed in the breeze. This massive structure was the biggest resort in the twelve cities and the most luxurious. Moses felt an inward fulfillment. He had achieved his two goals: he defeated the MOMO family and saved his clan from poverty. The wind tousled his hair as Moses inhaled a deep breath. “I owe Gwen a Christmas gift for building such a magnificent hotel,” Moses thought to himself. “I'll surprise her this Christmas.”Moses turned to Yuri, who stood behind him. “Come with me, Yuri. You and I are going somewhere.”Yuri and Moses took the train and headed for the upper district of the South. During their trip, Yuri noticed Moses was awfully quiet. “What are you thinking about, master?” Yuri asked. Moses glanced heavenwards. “Nothing serious. I'm just wondering what to do next.”Yuri cocked her head. “What to do next? Were you

The manager was taken aback by Moses demands. “You want a BMW in two days? That would cost a lot of money. Moreover, I can't just fire my employee without a reason.”“Oh I have a reason,” Moses pointed at the sales attendant. “This fool was trying to brush me off by showing me low-tier cars. He thought, I cannot afford a BMW. Such poor customer service doesn't seat right with me. I want him out.”The manager turned to the sales attendant. “Is this true?”“I mean look at him, sir,” the sales attendant waved at Moses. “He's so shabbily dressed. There's no way he could afford $380,000 for a BMW.”The manager could understand the sales attendant's judgement. Even he didn't believe Moses has that kind of money by the mere looks of him. “If you can pay off the money up front, then I'll carry out your request,” the manager spoke to Moses. Moses brought out a debit card. “I don't carry cash around with me, so I'm going to pay using my card.”The manager snapped his finger at the sales att

Moses' retaliation surprised everyone. No one thought he would hit Joan back. “You dare lay your dirty hands on me?” Joan spat, his cheek stinging from the slap. “Unbelievable,” Julia ranted. “It appears you have a death wish, Moses. The Butlers would ruin your life.”Moses smirked. “The butlers don't scare me. They're nowhere close to the money and influence I have at my disposal.”“I'm calling my family right now,” Joan feverishly fished out his phone. “You'll regret doing that to me, Moses. Your bank would crumble to the ground.”“Yes, Joan, show him no mercy,” Julia urged him on. “Make him suffer like how he made my father suffered.”The manager turned angrily to Moses. “I don't know who you are, sir, but I demand you apologize to Mr. Joan here or else I'll kick you out of my showroom. I don't want any trouble.”Moses glared at the manager. “I don't see you saying anything after that bitch slapped me. Stay out of this and keep your mouth shut.”The manager shivered at the chilli

He left with Yuri immediately after the manager fired the sales attendant. Julia dialed the emergency line. "Hello, we need medical help right now. My husband was attacked."Joan barked at the manager. "You idiot. How dare you defy my orders and sell to Moses when I told you not to?"The manager wrinkled his nose in disgust. "You saw what he did to you. I wouldn't want the same thing happening to me. More importantly, he paid good money for his BMW. It's only right that I satisfy my customer.""You mad fool!" Joan yelled. "You're just as foolish as Moses. No matter, you'll both meet the same fate after my family is done with you."Suddenly, a phone buzzed in Joan's pocket. Moses glanced around, confused at what was happening. This was unexpected. No one saw it coming. However, Moses remained calm and fearless. He noticed these military men were not hostile towards him and his clansmen. The door to one of the SUVs opened and a young man in a white suit stepped out of the rear door. This man seemed to be in his early twenties, with a handsome face that a K-pop star would be proud to flex. He stood before Moses and eyed him up and down. Moses held this young man's gaze for the longest moment. He didn't flinch a bit. “Who are you? And what do you want?” Moses asked, his voice deep and unflattering. The young man smiled. “I was told Moses Doberman was a penniless loser, but by mere looking at you, I can tell those rumours aren't true.”Moses folded his arms. “That doesn't answer my question. This is the Doberman's residence. You're on our turf without invitation, which is very disrespectful. State your business.”“My name is Alexander,” the young ma

Alexander stiffened in shock. “Y-you… You declined? Why?”Moses sighed. “To be honest with you, I really don't want to get mixed up in this whole royal family drama. I like peace.”“But I wasn't asking you to do anything. All I want is to meet with the Big Boss and give him my offer,” Alexander said breathlessly. Moses shook his head. “I don't think the Big Boss would be interested in aiding your princess to overthrow anyone. He's a business person and that's all there is to him.”“I understand that,” Alexander tried not to sound desperate. “We only require his financial backing. He needn't go to war with anybody.”Moses regarded Alexander closely. “And what if your princess fails to regain the throne? What would happen to her if this operation blows over, and she loses to her brother?”Alexander clenched his jaws. “We would rather not discourage our hearts with the consequences. We're simply taking actions as it deem necessary.”“That's the problem,” Moses yawned, stretching his bac

The Underground Slave auction was held in secret. Even in modern times, slave trade was still carried out. However, with the abolishment of slave trade today, slave auctions were held in secret and attended by elite families. It was dusk, and the auction was about to begin. Moses, Yuri, and Alexander were granted entry into the dimly lit underground auction hall. Now, in order to conceal their identity, everyone wore animal masks, making it nearly impossible to distinguish who belonged to which family. The masks served as a symbol of power and intimidation to its wearers. Each of the families were called by their beast masks, ensuring their anonymity. Moses and Yuri and Alexander entered the hall putting on Doberman pinscher masks. It costs Moses $5 million to purchase a gateway fee and these masks to gain entrance into the auction. “Watch where you’re going!” the boy rasped angrily, brushing imaginary dust off his shoulder. “Peasant. Are you blind?”Moses frowned as he scanned the boy, taking in the fine embroidery of his suit and the two guards from the House of Neptune. There was no doubt about it. This boy right here was Moses' second son. Benjamin, taken aback, raised his hands apologetically. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to—” But before he could finish, Moses stepped forward, his tone firm. “No, Benjamin. There’s no need to apologize. It was an accident.” This was Moses' first encounter with his second son and he already hated the boy's attitude. The boy raised an eyebrow, a smirk curling on his lips. “Do you know who I am?” His voice was laced with arrogance. “I am Prince Curtis, the rightful heir to the throne of the United Kingdom Of Niklauria. You'll speak to me with respect.” Before Benjamin could respond, one of Curtis’s guards stiffened visibly, his eyes locking on Moses. He leaned toward Curtis an

  • The Crown of Dominion

Moses private jet took off from North hills."Have you heard about the Crown of Dominion?" Moses asked Benjamin. Benjamin was seated opposite his father. He shook his head. "I don't know anything about it."Moses activated his Halo phone which displayed a holographic description of the crown. "It's an ancient artifact which is believed to have been forged by the gods," Moses explained. "Forged by the gods?" Benjamin looked bored. "Is this one of those folklore stories?"Moses continued as if he didn't hear him. "According to legend, the crown grants its wielder unmatched charisma and the ability to command absolute loyalty from armies. It can also inspire fear or reverence in anyone who beholds it."Benjamin supported his jaw on his hand. "So it's a myth. What's this got to do with my ascension to kinghood?""Plenty," Moses answered. "This crown is the cheat code to our victory. However, we're not the only ones interested in it."Benjamin raised his eyebrow. "Let me take a wild gue

  • Secret Twin

Benjamin stared at his father as if he just said the stupidest thing ever. “You want me to overthrow my mother?” Benjamin stood to his feet. “Why should I do that?”Moses leaned back in his chair and stared heavenwards. “Well, the House of Neptune is conspiring to dethrone your mom and replace her with a new king.”Moses paused to look Benjamin directly in his eyes. “Your mother was a smart woman. Too smart. Last week, she revealed to me that you had a secret twin brother.”Benjamin stiffened in shock. “M-my twin?”“You're not identical,” Moses noted. “You're both fraternal twins. Actually, after Elizabeth put to birth, she hid your twin brother while she handed you over to me to raise.”Moses explained the agreement he made with Elizabeth years ago after he agreed to raise Benjamin by himself. By the time Moses was done talking, Benjamin was speechless. He dropped back into his seat, but no words came out of his mouth. Moses sighed in exasperation. “I know it's a shocker, son. Sh

Moses turned to face the gathered crowd of parents, schoolteachers, and Principal Armstrong. He spread his arms wide and addressed them loud and clear. “Ladies and gentlemen,” he began. “Let me remind you of the terms of our little bet. If I win, all of you—the parents, the teachers, and even Principal Armstrong—will grovel and apologize to me. Thereafter, I will consider funding the school project.” The hall remained still and silent.Everyone remembered the wager, but not many were prepared to grovel before Moses. Principal Armstrong cleared his throat and stepped forward. “Mr. Doberman, if I may. This isn’t necessary. On behalf of everybody here, I sincerely apologize for any offense caused. There’s no need for anyone to grovel.” Moses’s expression darkened, his glare sharp enough to cut stone. He turned his gaze on Armstrong with pure disgust. “Who made you the speaker for everyone here?” Moses snapped, his voice rising. “If you have nothing meaningful to say, then shut

  • Setting appointments

Another man, a teacher, stood to his feet. “For the second challenge, if I may. Can we step away from money? Let's see who among the both of you has the most influence.”August turned to him, intrigued. “That's interesting. What's the details of this challenge?”The teacher stepped out, an excited look in his eyes. “The challenge is simple: both parties must secure a meeting with the CEO of Graham Incorporated right here and now. The winner would be the one who Reggie Graham sets an appointment for.”Everyone exchanged glances. This challenge was good. Graham incorporated was the world leading tech company, known for its bestselling Halo Phones.Graham Incorporated had developed a reputation for rejecting partnerships from even the wealthiest tech corporations. Their CEO, Reggie Graham, rarely entertained meetings, let alone signed deals.Whoever could set an appointment with him would be a man with strong connections. Moses smirked. “Fascinating. I like this one. Let's do it.”Sti

If only they knew they wouldn't dare to challenge him.”But there was nothing Leclerc could do. The challenge had been set. If he butts his head in, he would be dealing with Moses Doberman directly. All Leclerc could do was seat and watch. August started. “We'll let the teachers and parents dish out the challenge. Three challenges. Winner would be determined by who successfully does all three challenges without a hitch.”Moses shrugged. “Fine by me. So what's going to be our first challenge?”A tall man with salt-and-pepper hair stepped forward from the crowd. He adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat. “If I may,” he began, his voice filled with pride, “I am a dealer in fine art, and I happen to have a painting in my possession—a masterpiece valued at $10 million.”“It's a rare piece, painted by a reclusive artist whose works are sought

  • The Marksmans

The room was buzzed with murmurs after Moses declared he would fund the entire project. Many parents exchanged glances as they were curious to know who this new man was. Principal Armstrong cleared his throat and looked directly at Moses. He wore a skeptical expression on his face that told anyone he wasn't buying Moses' words. "Sir," Armstrong began, "May I ask, who are you?" Moses leaned back in his chair, wearing a deadpan expression on his face. "It doesn't matter who I am. It's not relevant, but if it satisfies your curiosity, I’m Moses Doberman, Benjamin Doberman’s father." A ripple of laughter broke out among the teachers who were present at the meeting. One of the teachers, Benjamin's chemistry teacher, chuckled loudly, shaking his head. "Ah, so you're Benjamin's father," the teacher said. "No doubt your son is intelligent, Mr. Doberman, but let’s be realistic here. You’re a C-Ranker, aren’t you? Let’s not make promises you can’t keep. Stay humble." The parents al

"Just so you know," Benjamin said, nursing his wrists after being freed. "I already knew you guys were spying on me."Lucas approached Benjamin, swallowing hard. "How could you know about us spying on you? You... you were always alone."Benjamin’s smirk widened. "You think I wouldn’t notice your pathetic attempts at surveillance? I have my own spies—ones you would never see coming. They’ve been shadowing you this entire time."The colour drained from Bruce’s face. Lucas was surprised at Benjamin's honesty. "Interesting," Lucas said, clearing his throat. "And just when I thought you would deny it.""Why should I deny anything?" Benjamin asked. "This is an unexpected turn of events," Lucas said, sighing. "Alright, guys you can come out now."At his command, Bruce and Grant emerged out of the darkness along with two other S-Rank students. Clara was absent. She didn't want to be part of this anymore. Bruce glared down at Benjamin, cracking his knuckles. "So you finally, admit it. Big mistake. I'm going to pulverise you until no one recognises you."Benjamin rolled his eyes. "You seem to forget that I never cause any harm to anyone who doesn't cause harm to me. You and your girlfriend hit me. So I retaliated.""You destroyed the Willows family," Grant barked. "How cr
