Moses woke up feeling light headed.

Glancing around him, he found himself in what seemed like a wilderness, surrounded by thick underbrush and towering trees.

For a moment, he stared around this habitat, confused.

"Wait a minute, where the hell I'm I? How the hell did I end up here?" He asked himself.

Moses tried to piece together the last thing he remembered, but his mind was blank.

Even his own identity was lost to him, like a distant memory he couldn’t quite reach.

Suddenly, Moses panicked. Could he have lost his memory? There's no way. He couldn't remember anything.

Struggling to his feet, Moses realized he was in the middle of a private plane wreckage.

The remains of the plane lay in a twisted wreck behind him, metal shards and pieces of luggage scattered all over the place.

His heart racing, Moses stumbled over to it, his vision swimming and the pounding in his head intensifying.

Blood trickled from a gash just above his right eyebrow, but it seemed to be the only injur

Moses felt bad. "But if you are a member of the Saint House, of course you should be given better treatment."Sandra smiled painfully as she swerved the truck round a bend. "It's not that simple," She said. "My husband was contesting to be head of the Saint House. His other br

Sandra exhaled shakily, turning to Moses. “I’m… I’m so sorry you had to see that. She’s always like this.”Moses shook his head, his expression softening. “You don’t have to apologize, Sandra. You deserve better than this.”Sandra smiled, but it was forced. “Thank you, Moses. But I’m afraid you can't stay here anymore. You don't know how powerful the Saint House is like. If you cause any further trouble, they might kill you.”Moses wanted to help this woman. He felt a strong urge to destroy anyone who hurt her and give her the justice which she deserves. If only he could find a way to do that. Sandra hurriedly pulled out some Changes in her pocket. "It's all I have left for now. I'm sorry it isn't much. Take it. You can find somewhere to spend the night at least. There's a cheap Inn not further away from here."Moses collected the coins. The coins bore the Iron House, the Unicron House and the Saint House names and symbols. Indeed these people must be powerful if this city uses th

Only a few members of the Saint House has ever left the city to explore the outside world or manage their franchise business. "Very well, then I'll tell you," Holman said after a pause. Holman’s hands shook as he clasped them behind his back, watching nervously from the shadows. It had been over an hour since the first chef’s dish was presented, and the clock continued to tick as each of the Saint House’s top chefs submitted their finest creations to the Big Boss. One by one, the Big Boss sampled the dishes—an artful seafood risotto, a delicate truffle-infused soufflé, a perfectly seared duck breast glazed in rare citrus reductions. With each bite, he’d lift his fork, place the morsel on his tongue, and chew slowly, his face revealing absolutely nothing. After only one taste, he would set his fork down, his expression as blank and impenetrable as it had been from the start. He didn’t swallow. This was the first time something like this had happened at the Saint's Plate. No one had ever not swallowed a dish. It was the greatest insult dealt to the Saint House. Holman wanted the earth to swallow him. The tension in the room grew thicker with each dish. The hea

Outside the bustling kitchen, Sandra stood silently, listening to Holman’s booming words. Each line of his anger made her realize how grave the situation was inside. She could feel the pressure weighing down on the Saint House chefs. They’d been the pride of this place for years, celebrated and honored as culinary artists, yet tonight, the Big Boss was reducing their finest to dust. A pang of sadness filled her as she listened to their desperate attempts to regain their family’s honor.Sandra’s gaze drifted down to her hands, hands that can bring even the most hardened souls to tears with a single taste. Her late husband and her son were the only people in the world who had tasted her food made with her “Gifted Hands.” She could still picture the tears, the pride in his eyes whenever he ate her food. The reason why her brother-in-laws killed her husband was simple. He wanted to make Sandra the head of the Saint House. Now, he was gone, and his family were on the brink of humil

“Watch where you’re going!” the boy rasped angrily, brushing imaginary dust off his shoulder. “Peasant. Are you blind?”Moses frowned as he scanned the boy, taking in the fine embroidery of his suit and the two guards from the House of Neptune. There was no doubt about it. This boy right here was Moses' second son. Benjamin, taken aback, raised his hands apologetically. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to—” But before he could finish, Moses stepped forward, his tone firm. “No, Benjamin. There’s no need to apologize. It was an accident.” This was Moses' first encounter with his second son and he already hated the boy's attitude. The boy raised an eyebrow, a smirk curling on his lips. “Do you know who I am?” His voice was laced with arrogance. “I am Prince Curtis, the rightful heir to the throne of the United Kingdom Of Niklauria. You'll speak to me with respect.” Before Benjamin could respond, one of Curtis’s guards stiffened visibly, his eyes locking on Moses. He leaned toward Curtis an

Moses private jet took off from North hills."Have you heard about the Crown of Dominion?" Moses asked Benjamin. Benjamin was seated opposite his father. He shook his head. "I don't know anything about it."Moses activated his Halo phone which displayed a holographic description of the crown. "It's an ancient artifact which is believed to have been forged by the gods," Moses explained. "Forged by the gods?" Benjamin looked bored. "Is this one of those folklore stories?"Moses continued as if he didn't hear him. "According to legend, the crown grants its wielder unmatched charisma and the ability to command absolute loyalty from armies. It can also inspire fear or reverence in anyone who beholds it."Benjamin supported his jaw on his hand. "So it's a myth. What's this got to do with my ascension to kinghood?""Plenty," Moses answered. "This crown is the cheat code to our victory. However, we're not the only ones interested in it."Benjamin raised his eyebrow. "Let me take a wild gue

Benjamin stared at his father as if he just said the stupidest thing ever. “You want me to overthrow my mother?” Benjamin stood to his feet. “Why should I do that?”Moses leaned back in his chair and stared heavenwards. “Well, the House of Neptune is conspiring to dethrone your mom and replace her with a new king.”Moses paused to look Benjamin directly in his eyes. “Your mother was a smart woman. Too smart. Last week, she revealed to me that you had a secret twin brother.”Benjamin stiffened in shock. “M-my twin?”“You're not identical,” Moses noted. “You're both fraternal twins. Actually, after Elizabeth put to birth, she hid your twin brother while she handed you over to me to raise.”Moses explained the agreement he made with Elizabeth years ago after he agreed to raise Benjamin by himself. By the time Moses was done talking, Benjamin was speechless. He dropped back into his seat, but no words came out of his mouth. Moses sighed in exasperation. “I know it's a shocker, son. Sh

Moses turned to face the gathered crowd of parents, schoolteachers, and Principal Armstrong. He spread his arms wide and addressed them loud and clear. “Ladies and gentlemen,” he began. “Let me remind you of the terms of our little bet. If I win, all of you—the parents, the teachers, and even Principal Armstrong—will grovel and apologize to me. Thereafter, I will consider funding the school project.” The hall remained still and silent.Everyone remembered the wager, but not many were prepared to grovel before Moses. Principal Armstrong cleared his throat and stepped forward. “Mr. Doberman, if I may. This isn’t necessary. On behalf of everybody here, I sincerely apologize for any offense caused. There’s no need for anyone to grovel.” Moses’s expression darkened, his glare sharp enough to cut stone. He turned his gaze on Armstrong with pure disgust. “Who made you the speaker for everyone here?” Moses snapped, his voice rising. “If you have nothing meaningful to say, then shut

Another man, a teacher, stood to his feet. “For the second challenge, if I may. Can we step away from money? Let's see who among the both of you has the most influence.”August turned to him, intrigued. “That's interesting. What's the details of this challenge?”The teacher stepped out, an excited look in his eyes. “The challenge is simple: both parties must secure a meeting with the CEO of Graham Incorporated right here and now. The winner would be the one who Reggie Graham sets an appointment for.”Everyone exchanged glances. This challenge was good. Graham incorporated was the world leading tech company, known for its bestselling Halo Phones.Graham Incorporated had developed a reputation for rejecting partnerships from even the wealthiest tech corporations. Their CEO, Reggie Graham, rarely entertained meetings, let alone signed deals.Whoever could set an appointment with him would be a man with strong connections. Moses smirked. “Fascinating. All Leclerc could do was seat and watch. August started. “We'll let the teachers and parents dish out the challenge. Three challenges. Winner would be determined by who successfully does all three challenges without a hitch.”Moses shrugged. “Fine by me. So what's going to be our first challenge?”A tall man with salt-and-pepper hair stepped forward from the crowd. He adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat. “If I may,” he began, his voice filled with pride, “I am a dealer in fine art, and I happen to have a painting in my possession—a masterpiece valued at $10 million.”“It's a rare piece, painted by a reclusive artist whose works are sought

  • The Marksmans

The room was buzzed with murmurs after Moses declared he would fund the entire project. Many parents exchanged glances as they were curious to know who this new man was. Principal Armstrong cleared his throat and looked directly at Moses. He wore a skeptical expression on his face that told anyone he wasn't buying Moses' words. "Sir," Armstrong began, "May I ask, who are you?" Moses leaned back in his chair, wearing a deadpan expression on his face. "It doesn't matter who I am. It's not relevant, but if it satisfies your curiosity, I’m Moses Doberman, Benjamin Doberman’s father." A ripple of laughter broke out among the teachers who were present at the meeting. One of the teachers, Benjamin's chemistry teacher, chuckled loudly, shaking his head. "Ah, so you're Benjamin's father," the teacher said. "No doubt your son is intelligent, Mr. Doberman, but let’s be realistic here. You’re a C-Ranker, aren’t you? Let’s not make promises you can’t keep. Stay humble." The parents al
