CHAPTER 13

The next day, Abraham and Edward was now getting ready to go down and have Abraham tryout to become an adventurer. With his current strength level and magic, Abraham might qualify as a B-class adventurer. But to Abraham, what matters is that he gets a license, and ranking up will just follow that. His father and friends are adventurers, so he knows how these things work. Abraham then thanked the elder and the other villagers for taking care of him and told them not to worry as he will return here until he finds a way to go home. As they go down the mountain, the villagers were waving goodbye at them. The two walked down the mountain. Abraham is preparing himself as the adventurer's examination is just hard. Only the most qualified can join and be recruited.

"So, what brings you here if you are from another distant clan that is outside kingdom rules?" Abraham asked just to start a conversation so that they won't be bored on their way.

"Ha! I have come here for a reason! And that is to find the person who is suitable to be my master! And that is you!" he then laughed.

Abraham sighed as Edward looks more like his master because of his insane power. Having that kind of durability and strength in addition to his magical prowess, Edward is a force not to be reckoned with.

"What is your rank by the way?" Abraham asked again as he picks up a stick.

And just like anyone would do, he played with the stick,

"Yours truly is a C-class adventurer!" Edward proudly said.

C-class? Seriously? Based on his strength alone and durability, he can be an A-class. But C-class? That seems to be impossible. But then, Edward told him why his rank is that low despite his strength. It is because he is an idiot. He never takes up a job from the guild's billboard and is just doing some little chores and sometimes an examiner for the guild. So, he earns little to nothing points. However, he gets paid 200 copper a day, so it is not bad. He might be the examiner of Abraham later, but he will not test the strengths of his master as he says that he is not worthy to have a go with his master who he devotes his life to. Abraham shrugged as this really is a weird feeling. However, since Edward was kind and all, he was just glad to have met someone like him. After an hour of walking down the mountain, they finally reached the town. According to the elder, this is the second town near their own. This town is the largest among the other towns of this kingdom, and its name is YorkPines town. The two walked down the town, and the scars of the apocalypse can still be seen while being fixed by the citizens. However, the damage was not that grave as the guild here turns out to be one of the biggest and strongest of this kingdom. Tons of merchants are on the streets selling interesting materials, but since he has no money other than the 1 copper he has in his pocket, it was just impossible for Abraham to buy some stuff for himself. He needs clothes, a new scabbard and some other magical material that would help along the way of being an adventurer. They then arrived at the western part of the town, and that is where the guild hall resides. Abraham looked at this gigantic structure as he sees adventurers going out and in this building. The two then went in and they immediately went to the reception desk. Abraham greeted this elven woman with big boobs and white hair. He was fixated at her boobs and was admiring it too much, without realizing that he is being called by her. And when he slapped out of it, he then went to tell her his original goal,

"Uh, I am here to apply to become an adventurer." Abraham says.

The woman sighed, as there is going to be another troublemaker if this kid passes. In any case, she then asked for the essentials,

"Name, age, and magical attribute." Says the woman,

"Oh, the name's Abraham Warlock, 15 years old. And my magical attribute is lightning." Abraham introduced.

The woman wrote everything down and was not seemed to be shocked by the fact that Abraham is a lightning mage, and that if he trains properly, he can harness the full potential of being a lightning mage. And it seems that, to her, Abraham is just another rookie.

"Due to the lack of examiners and since the facility is also destroyed because of a certain idiot," she then looked at Edward who began to laugh "You, Mister Warlock, please place your right hand over this crystal and pour some of our mana in there. That would determine your rank." The receptionist says.

Abraham then first wiped his hands on his shirt to dry it off, so it won't be that disgusting. And then, he placed his hand on the crystal ball and poured his mana in it. At first there was nothing, and then, a letter suddenly glowed above the back of the hand of Abraham. And it was the letter A with its bright green light. It then disappeared as the receptionist then took the crystal ball,

"Abraham Warlock, current rank, A-class. Please wait for a moment for your license, thank you." Announced the receptionist.

And it was a shock even for Abraham. Back at Ozo, he was ranked an amateur and not suited to become and adventurer yet. But now, he is an A-class person, he can't be so proud. He just wished that he was with his family to celebrate this achievement. However, this is just temporary. Ranks can drop from time to time, and he can't afford that to happen if he is to make a name for himself. After a few minutes, the beautiful receptionist came back with this small card. Abraham looks at it. The card shows his name, age, attribute and then his guild points, including the number of missions he has completed which is still zero. This card was enchanted and designed to change whether the person changes too. If a person rises a rank, then the rank on the card will also change. That includes the age and all. Abraham was so proud of himself. He is now an official adventurer. But with his rejoicing times, someone was lurking in the shadows,

"A-class rookie, huh? Now this is a target."
