2024-10-29 19:42:56This is Abraham's first all-out battle, so he was pretty nervous. Their enemies are monsters who has no other goal than to kill them all and eat them. Luckily, he was at the rear of the group along with some more rookies, so they are working together. With his trainer sword, Abraham slid on his knees and then slashed the legs of the incoming monsters. The fellow rookies behind him then grabbed the chance and slew the falling monsters. Abraham stood up as a cyclops was heading towards him. One veteran adventurer caught the hurtling club of the big one-eyed creature as Abraham took the chance to slash the monster in half. The fight continued as it is intensifying every minute. As the fight goes on, Filbert and his party suddenly arrived due to the fact that the employer cancelled the job. But what they saw was not the welcoming town of Ozo. It was an all-out battle with the monsters. So, they all drew their weapons and then charged at the battle. Their party was known for being one of the strongest, that it why the adventurers cheered as they arrived in battle. Abraham who was now at the middle defending those are injured saw his father zoomed before his eyes. He never actually saw his father in full combat before, so he was pretty much surprised. Abraham was pulling the injured out of the field so that they won't die, and he is dragging them near the gates where healer mages were positioned. As he was dragging the injured, Filbert saw his son,
"What the hell are you doing here?!" he snapped as he cuts a monstrous wolf in half,
"The guild master gave me permission. And—"
"Go back! You are too early for this," then Filbert buried a troll with his earth magic "Listen, you are not an adventurer yet, so—"
"Dad, watch out!" Abraham yelled.
As there is a minotaur charging towards his father who was nit facing it. So, Abraham slides on his knees again and went through the legs of his father. He struck the charging humanoid bull with his lightning powers as it was petrified. Filbert leaped over his son as he then cuts the minotaur in half.
"There is no time to argue, Dad! Don't worry about me, I am only hauling the injured out of the battlefield, please let me stay!" Abraham begged.
"But—"
Pablo then butted in as he was fending off this crazy goblin,
"Your son is right, Bert! We can't fight while saving them! Let him be! You saw it earlier; your son is as strong as an adventurer already!" he shouted as he left.
His other party members agreed. So, Filbert was left no choice. He is just hoping that Josephine won't find out about this, because he will get a mouthful of scolding from her for letting their son participate in an adventurer's rank battle. However, Pablo is right. Abraham is already an E-class adventurer. Something like dragging the injured and fighting some low-class monsters is a piece of cake for him. Not to mention the fact that his son has already took down a chief troll with only a trainer sword.
"Just promise me one thing. Don't fight when you think that you are not going to win. Follow your instincts, and don't be reckless. Now, go!" Filbert ordered as his son smiled at him.
Abraham went back on dragging the injured while he fights the monsters that tries to get in their way. After his 15th dragging, Abraham is now going back to the chaotic battlefield to find more injured people. He entered the battle as he tries to avoid any contact with monsters if possible. He was looking for injured men and women, but as soon as he reached the middle, which was the epicenter of the battle, he was suddenly tackled by a hellhound. Abraham held the hellhound's face with his hands as he was trying his best to not get eaten by this monster. He tried to summon lightning, however, if does that, he will be electrocuted as well. As he wrestles with the dog of hell, he then slowly reached for its neck and then he grappled it with all his strength. Abraham slowly stood up, and then, he drew his sword using his left hand and then decapitated the ugly beast and threw its head elsewhere. He sighed in relief, however, as he looked up, a giant was standing in front of him. It was carrying a big spiky club. The giant was at least 20 feet tall, and it has this odd yellowish skin with some kind of lumps. In other word, this giant was very ugly. It then swung his club down at Abraham who was nearly hit. But thanks to his incredible dodging skills, since he learned it because of the girl he peeked into while they were throwing stuff at him. But a spike grazed his leg. It left a long wound, but luckily, it wasn't poisonous like before with the chief troll. He then was left with a single choice, and that is to fight a monster that is way stronger than him. Because giants are ranked as B-class monsters, Abraham might not come out of this fight if wins in one piece. As he fights the giant, Filbert who was fighting 7 monster wolves saw his son fighting it,
"Abe!" he screamed.
But once his attention to the wolves were disrupted, he was hit by their claws, and it damaged his armor.
"Filbert! Concentrate! Focus on your opponents—"
"How can I focus when my son is in danger!" Filbert followed as he then quickly killed the wolves with his magic.
He then stood up and ran towards his son. However, the girl with pink hair in their party blocked his path with her arms spread wide,
"Do you want to make your son feel pathetic? Do you actually think that he would want his father swooping in and saving him when he is there fighting with all he's got? Go there and it'll hurt your son's pride." Says the Sylvia.
"But—"
"Just let him be this time. If everything goes south, then you can swoop in." Angelica followed as she was also fighting.
Filbert sighed as he then let his son be, as long as he is still standing strong and fighting. He then went back to fighting. Abraham then dodged another hurtling club, as he is figuring out a way to defeat this giant. Based on the books he read before, giants have thick skin. Not as thick as a dragon though. A high-grade weapon or at least a weapon with the rank of C-class can pierce through its thick skin. And unfortunately, Abraham only has a trainer sword which is ranked as E-class. So, how the hell would he defeat a monster that is a B-class, when he and his equipment are all E-class?

The fight began with Abraham clearly overwhelmed. Demons are S-class beings, but some of them are just B-class. However, the ones Abraham is fighting are definitely S-class. Their magic power was intense, not to mention their blood lust. But one question kept bugging Abraham even though he needs to focus so that he wouldn't get killed and be eaten by them. And that is why are demons here? Aren't they supposed to be in the demon realm? What the hell is happening? However, those question won't be answered, he needs to live another day to find out.
