Sean? Are You Crazy?

“The final spray, this is the real Sean,” Sean said, looking at himself in the mirror. 

The black Jaz with a semi-formal suit suited Sean. This afternoon, Sean remembered to stop by the barbers because his hair was already very long. Sean felt he needed to tidy up his hair a little. 

“I’m lazy, but it’s okay. When else can I see the hypocrites’ faces surprised?” Sean said with a horrible smile as he looked at his reflection in the mirror. 

Sean hated the people on that campus. Not only his friends, but Sean also hated the lecturers who taught there because the lecturers never defended him. Even though he was right, justice never favored him just because he was a poor student. 

Sean’s family hid Sean’s identity well. Only the head of the foundation and the rector knew who Sean was, so the lecturers were not afraid to bully and maltreat Sean. 

Sean took a taxi to leave. He believed buying a car was a waste because he was a poor student at university and having a luxurious car would make him extraordinary. 

He was on time, but his hangers-on had already gone to the gathering since they were always seeking to make a favorable impression. 

“Who is that? Why is he so cool?” said a woman with a black dress on her body. 

“I don’t know who he is, but that guy is pretty classy. Did you see the watch he’s wearing? It’s a limited edition, Rolex!” The men also commented that Sean dressed very manly this time. 

“What’s so important about that Rolex watch? All I know is that his face is so handsome. Even his masculine perfume wafts here.” The other woman whispered because, for women, the face is an asset more important than anything else. Also, Sean’s athletic body made his appearance even more mesmerizing to the girls. 

“Hey, you don’t know, that watch is very expensive. Even my father couldn’t get one because it was a limited edition.” Another guy said with annoyance that the girls couldn’t tell the difference between expensive and useless items. 

“Uh, but I kind of know him. Is he Sean? Yeah, I’m sure he’s Sean,” a girl said in the end after remembering who the man who had just arrived was. 

The woman could remember that the man was Sean because she admired Sean’s handsomeness, but, the poor Sean made the woman in the end not make Sean the harbor of her heart because her family did not allow her to be with a poor man who had no future. 

“Sean? Are you crazy? How could that poor guy come here?” The other woman refuted her friend’s words because it was too impossible for Sean to make such an effort. 

“It’s Sean,” the woman who admired Sean replied. Sean’s friends were now watching and confirming whether the young man was the Sean they had insulted. 

“Ah, their reactions are so boring. I had guessed these flies would be like that. However, who would have thought what I thought would happen? Are you now surprised to see how a poor man has turned into a junior master?” said Sean, inwardly laughing triumphantly because he saw the faces of the insects which often insulted him and now admired him quickly. 

“That’s right, Sean!” replied the other man in disbelief. Sean just kept his pocket face relaxed. 

“How did he change so quickly?” asked the other girl in an incredulous tone. Of course, she couldn’t believe Sean had turned into the young master overnight. 

“I think he borrowed or even stole what he’s wearing right now. Maybe he wants to make girls interested in him.” After learning that the man they adored was Sean, the girls went back to insulting Sean because they believed that Sean would not turn rich that quickly. 

“I’m even more convinced that he’s wearing knock-offs, ah look. There’s no way those things are real.” The boys also joined in insulting Sean because they were not willing for someone like Sean to be more attractive than them. 

“Let it go because if they were real, he would already have a sugar mommy by now!” another boy taunted him even more cruelly. However, Sean didn’t care because for Sean at this time, hearing his friend’s empty talk would only make his ears hurt. 

“Guys, calm down because today’s main princess will come out. Let’s welcome Karen.” The MC took over the commotion. Now people’s attention was only on Karen, who appeared very graceful. 

Not only did Karen grab the attention, but Sammy, who came with Karen, also made the girls pay attention to him. 

“Look at how cool our college prince is. Just look at how handsome he is and how luxurious all the things on his body are. It’s not like someone is trying to rival our idol when his level is very different from our prince,” the girls whispered in praise of Sammy, and the girls did not forget to drop Sean.

So whoever can give the best performance that can amaze us all, then the first piece of me will be his, do you agree?” said Karen, giving an idea so that her birthday party was not too monotonous. 

“We agree!” shouted the boys excitedly because all the young men there wanted an exceptional first cut from a girl as young as Karen. 

“Not bad either,” the girls commented. The girls, of course, wanted to have hidden intentions. The girls wanted to take advantage of the moment to see the hidden talents of men that they might have only admired so far. 

“Well, everyone’s agreed, so who dares to come forward for the first time?” asked Karen with her sweet smile. 

“Me!” Sammy, without thinking, put himself forward. Sammy was sure that no one would dare to challenge him. 

“Wow, Sammy, you’re really excited. Well, what do you want to perform? Of course, we don’t want anything ordinary, do we?” Karen replied excitedly. Karen was sure that Sammy was obsessed with always getting first place. Karen knew her friend’s character because she had been friends with Sammy since she was a child. 

“Of course I’m very excited, I don’t want to be preceded by anyone else.” Sammy replied in a joking tone. 

“Miss, can I borrow your mic for a moment?” Sammy asked the host in a soft tone, making the host melt. 

“Ah, Sean, you don’t have to ask. I’ll give it to you with pleasure.” The host replied while blushing. The other girls looked at their friend, who became the host, with an envious look because not just anyone could get sweet treatment from Sammy like that. 

“Alright guys, this time I will perform a special song. Of course, this song is especially for the beautiful birthday girl,” Sammy said before singing. 

Karen just smiled at the way Sammy charmed the girls there, while she just felt normal because meeting Sammy often made her think of Sammy as nothing more than her best friend. 

Sammy, who had given the code to the technicians to play a song, immediately melodiously sang Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Again and again, the girls felt very jealous of Karen, who could experience such a sweet moment from their prince. 

“Wow, very cool performance Sammy.” Said Karen with applause. The guests agreed with what Karen said at this time. 

“So after Sammy’s beautiful performance, are there any other participants who want to show their talents?” Karen asked after everyone appreciated Sammy’s performance. 

Silence. No one answered what Karen had said because who would dare to beat Sammy? Moreover, Sammy’s performance was mesmerizing, and the man’s voice was very melodious. 

“Hey is there no one? It’s not cool if Sammy alone does it. I want at least one more person.” Karen said with a bit of encouragement for the other men to challenge Sammy.
