"What are you doing here?"
Riko was shocked and then dropped the photo frame.
Rudolf glared at Riko angrily. "How dare you enter this house!"
"I just—"
"That means you are the culprit!" Rudolf pointed the gun at Riko.
"No!"
"Raise your hand! Hurry up!" Rudolf shouted loudly.
"No! I'm not the culprit! I came here because I want to help find Professor William!" Riko explained frantically.
"You don't dodge anymore! You must have come here because you want to erase the traces of your crimes! Otherwise, why are you dressed all in black and wearing gloves?!" Rudolf pointed at Riko.
'Shit!' Riko cursed at his bad luck today.
"Quickly raise your hand before I shoot you!"
"I don't want to because I'm not the culprit!" Riko insisted. If he raised his hand and turned himself in, that would justify all the accusations that the fierce-looking man had made.
DOR!
Rudolf shoot into the air, causing Riko to cover his ears.
"Do you still dare to oppose, me, huh?!" Rudolf screamed in rage. He had run out of patience with the crazy young man's behavior. Riko had been bothering him at the police station for years, and now he wanted to mess up his job.
"Quickly raise your hand! Don't make me shoot you dead!"
"Okay!" Riko spontaneously raised his hand high. He panicked and was afraid because he was not ready to die. Moreover, his revenge has not been avenged.
Rudolf immediately caught Riko and handcuffed his hands.
"I'm not the culprit, Sir! Trust me!" Riko continues to defend himself. "Professor William is my lecture! So there's no way I wanted to hurt him!"
"Stop talking nonsense, you idiot! Come with me! You must be responsible for what you did at the police station!" Rudolf dragged Riko to a police car parked in the yard.

"Trust me, Sir! I'm not the culprit! It wasn't me who did it! I came to William's house to help look for him!" Riko explained everything to an investigator, Fred.
"Your behavior has gone too far! We, the police, can't just believe what you say!" Rudolf continued to scold Riko without stopping.
"Please, trust me, Sir," Riko begs Fred.
Fred sighed tiredly, then looked at Riko coldly. "What Rudolf said is true. If you weren't the culprit, your actions earlier would have gone too far. You could get penalized for damaging evidence or traces in the house, thus hindering police work."
"I just want to help find him! Because I'm sure, Professor William was kidnapped by a mythological creature!"
"Enough! You'd better stop talking to this crazy boy Fred! He's out of his mind!" Rudolf cursed at Riko.
Riko clenched his fists tightly. He was fed up with all of Rudolf's insults against him.
"He'd better be thrown in jail right away! You don't have to bother interrogating him anymore!" Rudolf suggested.
"Shut up, Rudolf. Let me handle him." Richard stared at Rudolf sharply.
"Whatever you!" Rudolf immediately left the room.
"Wait here until Captain Calvin arrives."
Riko smiled brightly. "So he's coming to see me?" Finally, he has a hope to be free.
"Yes."
‡‡‡
"What did you come to Professor William's house for, Riko?" Captain Calvin interrogates Riko in his study.
"I want to come to find him. That's all!" Riko answered honestly.
"But your reckless actions could endanger your own life, Riko. Moreover, the police have not been able to confirm that Mr. William was kidnapped or killed. We have not even been able to investigate the culprit because he did not leave any traces at home." Captain Calvin advised. His eyes looked worried.
Riko was wide-eyed in shock. "So Professor William was murdered?" His heart seemed to have suddenly stopped. Sadness struck the young man's heart. He couldn't imagine if he had to lose a lecturer who loved him so much?
"I can't say for sure."
Riko looked down sadly, stunned.
"But... I want to ask you one thing."
Riko looked back at Captain Calvin with a frown. "What?"
Captain Calvin opened a desk drawer and revealed a handkerchief.
"Handkerchief?" Riko muttered in surprise.
"This is no ordinary handkerchief." Captain Calvin explained.
Riko was even more confused. "What do you mean, Captain?"
"I have checked in the laboratory, and it turns out that there is a strange liquid in this handkerchief, and it is liquid..."
Tok! Tok! Tok!
Captain Calvin's words were cut off when someone knocked on his door. "Come in."
When the door opened, a woman wearing a police uniform entered and approached Captain Calvin. The girl was gorgeous, even though his face looked unfriendly.
Despite his young age, he manages to work at the police station. That amazed Riko.
Who is she? Riko muttered in amazement.
"Dad, I got a report from the investigators that there was foreign blood at the house."
"Dad?" Riko suddenly looked at Captain Calvin in shock. "So you are her father?"
The blonde-haired man chuckled. "Why do you look so surprised?" Riko's reaction was so funny in his eyes.
"Why don't you two look alike?" Riko chuckled.
"So he's the one the cops here often talk about?" Valeria glanced at Riko cynically. He had heard rumors about Riko. He is considered strange because he is constantly chattering about mythological creatures.
"Have you found the mythological creature yet?" Valerie asked mockingly.
"Stop it, Valerie! That's rude!" Captain Calvin rebuked angrily.
"Why should I be polite to a young man who has lost his mind?" Valerie defended herself.
Riko lowered sadly. It turns out that Valerie is the same as the people who always bully his. She's so evil. Now the girl is no longer beautiful in Riko's eyes.
"Apologize to him. Hurry up!" Captain Calvin glared at the short-haired girl.
"Forgive me." Valerie looked away from Riko with an expression devoid of regret.
"You …!"
"No problem, Captain." Riko smiled a little to quell the man's anger.
Captain Calvin snorted indignantly at his daughter's behavior. "What business did you come here for?"
"I want to show you this." Valerie handed some photos to Captain Calvin.
"Blood?" The man muttered under his breath. The photo is of blood spots on the walls and floor at William's house.
"What's wrong, Captain?"
"The investigation team managed to find blood from a stranger besides William."
"So, whose blood is this?"
Valeria was just stunned and didn't answer.
"Why are you silent?" Captain William asked in surprise.Riko stared at the girl in surprise.Valerie sighed. "That is spider blood.""What?!" Riko exclaimed in shock. Instantly, the dark events of the past flashed through his mind. "That means that the one who killed Professor William is the same creature that killed my parents!" Riko was angry while clenching her fists tightly."Dad, can you expel this insane man from your office?" Valerie glared at Riko sharply."Captain! Please allow me to investigate this case! That way, I will know the spider man who killed Professor William and my parents!""Spider Men don't exist, Idiot! Don't be delirious!" Valerie is sick of seeing Riko's crazy behavior. His head wanted to explode hearing the chattering absurdity of the young man."Sorry, Riko. Valerie is right. It's possible that the spider's blood was an animal that happened to be present at the incident. After all, Mr. William wasn't necessarily killed or kidnapped." Captain Calvin repri
"What is it? Tell me quickly!" Riko's curiosity exploded."Your father is—"Suddenly Captain Calvin's cell phone rang loudly, cutting off his words. He checked the incoming call; it was from his daughter, Valerie.Captain Calvin picked up the call. "What's going on?"Riko secretly eavesdrops on Captain Calvin and Valerie's conversation, but nothing is heard."Okay, I'll be right there." Captain Calvin hung up the phone hastily. "I have to go. I'm sorry!" The man rushes out."Hei! You have not yet answered me!" Riko chases after Captain Calvin. He also panicked. "What's wrong?""I can't explain, but it certainly has nothing to do with Mr. William."Riko stopped and watched the man leave worriedly."Exactly what happened? Why does Captain Calvin look worried?" ***After returning from campus, Riko immediately visited Jorah's house. He wanted to show him the evidence Captain Calvin had given him. Riko is sure that Jorah will be surprised and happy. However, when he got there, the house
Now night has come."What exactly is your plan? Please tell me." Riko sits in front of Captain Calvin in his study."I deliberately invited you to stay at my house to fish for the creature," explained the man."What do you mean? I don't understand." Riko frowned in confusion.Captain Calvin leaned over to Riko and whispered, "I suspect the creature hates me."Riko was popeyed. "What do you mean? How did you know?" He didn't expect Captain Calvin to know much about the creature."Do you know why my wife doesn't agree with you staying at my house?"Riko shook his head, looking at Captain Calvin intently."Because that creature attacked your wife when I was on duty."Riko was stunned. "Are you kidding me?! So Veronika already knows about the creature?"Captain Calvin nodded, then leaned back in the chair with a deep sigh. "Because of that, he doesn't like you around me. She thinks you are a source of disaster."Now, Riko knows why Valerie hates him. "Does your daughter also hate me for t
BRUK!"Argh!""Oh, my!" Riko exclaimed in shock as his fist hit Valerie's jaw, causing her to fall to the floor. She groaned in pain as she held his cheek."Are you okay?! I'm sorry!" Riko rushed to help Valerie stand up, but the girl immediately pushed Riko roughly so that he sat down."Don't touch me, Idiot!" Valerie snapped angrily."I'm sorry. I didn't mean to punch you. I thought you were that creature, so I intended to beat the creatures up." Riko explained it haltingly.Valerie immediately stood up and put her hands on her hips. "Can you be a bit sane, huh?! I'm sick of hearing your nonsense! If my father didn't care about you, I would have kicked you out of my house!" Valerie's screams of rage boomed through the house and invited the servants, Captain Calvin and Veronika, out of their room."What happened? Why are you guys fighting?" Captain Calvin asked in surprise."Riko punched me until my lips bleed, Dad!" Valerie complained to her father, hoping the man would kick Riko ou
Valerie treated the wound on his lip with a warm cloth at the dinner table."Does it still hurt?" Riko sat on the side.Valerie was surprised, then looked away from the young man. "Go away. I don't want to see your face.""I know you hate me even more now, but I have to take responsibility for hurting you. I'll take you to the hospital. Come on.""No! I'm not going with you.""But if your wound is not treated immediately, your lip can become infected." Riko persuaded with a worried look."I only ask one thing of you!" Valerie gave Riko a sharp look.Riko is horrified to see Valerie's expression, which seems to want to pounce on her. "What's that?""As long as you stay in my house, stop acting crazy!""What do you mean?""Don't you ever talk about that imaginary creature of yours!" Valerie made her words clear.Riko was silent. He was confused about what to answer while he lived in this house to catch that evil creature."Why don't you believe me? My parents died because of that creatu
Riko rushed out of the car and went to Calvin's office. "Uncle!"Everyone in the room immediately turned to Riko. The young man doesn't care if his attitude isn't polite.Calvin immediately stood up. "What is it?" He asked worriedly when Riko looked panicked."I want to ask about this." Riko shows the photo to Calvin.Calvin frowned in surprise. "Isn't that a picture of you from your childhood?""That's not the problem, Uncle! I want to ask, why is my photo in Professor William's desk drawer?" Riko asked, annoyed. He was sure Captain Calvin knew something.Captain Calvin tensed, but he refused to say anything. "Answer, Uncle!" Riko pressed in annoyance. He couldn't wait any longer. Everything that happened was getting more confusing."He asked for your picture because he knows you are an orphan. He loves you because he lost his wife and children."Riko stared into Uncle Calvin's eyes, trying to find his honesty. "I don't believe you! I beg you to answer me honestly!""Stop it, Ri
"UNCLE!" Riko screamed hysterically when Calvin disappeared from sight after being dragged into the darkness.iko swiftly cocked the weapon while observing the surroundings. The room was so dark you could barely see anything. Only the moonlight filtered through the cracks in the windows that lit up the room."Where are you, Monster?! Get out of here! Fight me! Bring back my uncle!" Riko shouted loudly, trying to fight the fear surging in his heart. However, Riko only heard animal hisses that filled the room. He didn't know where the sound was coming from."Get out, Loser!" Riko pointed the gun with trembling hands. His head was spinning from too much fear. Now no one with him can help him later."You have to come with me, Riko. I won't hurt you." The voice filled the room again.Riko was surprised when the sound echoed through the room. He also increased his surveillance of the surrounding area to anticipate all kinds of attacks from all angles.Fear took hold of Riko's heart. The you
After giving a statement to an investigator, Riko asked, "Can I meet someone who might know about this creature?"Richard looked at Riko, confused. "Who's he?""He's Jorah, the antique dealer in the corner of town.""Alright. I'll bring him here.""Let me just go to his house.""That's impossible. I won't let you escape.""I'm not going to run away. If necessary, I'll be escorted by a few policemen."Richard thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement. "Okay."Richard called Rudolf and ordered him to take Riko to Jorah's house.Rudolf nodded obediently, then led handcuffed Riko towards the car. Riko sat in the middle of two heavily armed police while Rudolf drove."That incident drove me crazy!" Rudolf swore. "How can Valerie also believe in that ridiculous creature?""That creature is real, Sir.""All of this is because of you, Riko! Because you live at Valerie and Captain Calvin's house, your crazy behavior rubs off on them," Richard sneered."I'm not crazy!" Riko snapped angrily
