Chapter 5 - Switching Dimensional

Riko put it on a large rock instead of a table. "Wow! Very beautiful!" Riko's eyes twinkled in amazement, so he didn't blink when he looked at the beauty of the strangely carved old box.

Riko examined the box to find where the keyhole was to open it. The mysterious box looks like a box in ancient times.

"What exactly is in this box? If it contains treasure, it should definitely be a keyhole to open it."

Riko cleaned the box with his jacket to get rid of the dirt still stuck to it to find a hole.

"Shit! My map! Where is the map? It must have been lost when I was carried away by the avalanche earlier."

Riko rushes to find the old map at the last place he fell.

After finding it, Riko rushes back to the old box and examines all the symbols that can still be read to determine whether the box is related to mythological creatures.

"Tsk! Why does the ink have to disappear?! How do I read it!"

After trying to read the writing, Riko suddenly exclaimed, "I have an idea!" he spontaneously snapped his fingers when a brilliant idea occurred to him.

Riko stared at the map under the sun to read the writing more clearly. His brows furrowed upon discovering the oddly vague-looking writing. Surprisingly, he understood the foreign language even though he had never read it.

"'It will be buried for thousands of years until the box owner can find it." Riko spelled out a piece of the written sentence.

Riko frowned. "Find it?" The young man repeated the sentence he had read. "What does it mean?"

Riko went back to reading the map to dig for the next clue. I found a sentence. "If you spin it, you will come back or come."

"Turn?" Roxy was confused. Because the map doesn't explain the meaning of "turn".

Riko wants to read more, but it's ruined because the writing is faded, so he doesn't know what the map means.

"Shit! It's just a bother!" Riko cursed angrily. He had to strain his eyes to spell out the faded sentence.

Riko snorted harshly after not finding an answer. "Actually, what should I do? Does it have anything to do with this strange box?" Riko guessed, then turned to the mysterious box emitting a bright blue light.

Riko is confused at the strangeness that is happening. Even though he refused to believe it, his mind told him that this box and this map must be related.

"Looks like I have to clean this box even more cleanly." Riko rubbed the box using a jacket so that the box was clean.

"What is this?" Riko found a small unfamiliar button, then he turned it carefully.

"Oh my! It turns out that this button really can be rotated!" Riko was shocked. His smile widens perfectly.

Riko immediately looked at the old map while smiling happily. "I'm increasingly convinced that this map is a clue!"

Just one step away, Riko will reach his ambition.

Riko hastily stuffed the map and old box into his backpack, then left the location. Because it was getting late, he didn't want to cause a stir among his friends because he never came back.

"Wait a moment."

Riko scanned his surroundings for a strange look. The forest area looked foreign like he had never been through it. But he was still determined to continue the journey.

While walking through the forest, Riko tried to remember his earlier path.

After going around quite a distance, Riko was forced to stop for a moment near a large rock. "As I recall, this boulder wasn't here before. How did it get here now? I must have gotten lost! Damn it!"

When Riko focused on digging into his memories, he heard a strange sound, like someone's footsteps approaching.

"Who are there?" Riko looked around, panicked. However, he didn't find anyone around him.

Riko gulped hard. His heart was beating faster.

"Who are you?!" Riko shouted impudently, trying to fight back the fear.

A mysterious wind blows while shaking the trees so violently.

Riko trembled even more so that the hair on his neck was bristling.

"What happened? Why suddenly se-"

BRUK!

Riko caught the sound of a big bang. A giant boulder rolled and hit Riko's leg, causing him to fall.

"Argh!" Riko screamed in pain. His leg bones were crushed. "Shit! How can a stone want to walk on its own!"

Riko tugged at his leg, which was caught in the boulder. "Argh! Why can't my leg be taken out?!"

Riko couldn't move the stone from his feet, which looked very small compared to the giant rock.

Riko lay down with a heavy breath. The blood had flooded into him so that he was limp. Even though he had just achieved an achievement.

"Why am I always unlucky? Am I cursed by God?" Riko looked sadly at the night sky decorated with thousands of stars.

The horizon is stunning because the moon and stars adorn the sky.

"Mommy, Daddy … is fate going to let me die here?"

Riko smiled sadly while wiping the tears that flowed from his eyes. "I'm sorry for being unable to be a useful child and kill that thing."

Riko closed his eyes slowly.

"Auw…." Riko opened his eyes slowly. The sunlight was so hot that it woke the young man from a long sleep.

He was shocked when find himself sprawled on the ground.

'Where am I?!' Riko was surprised that he wasn't where he had fainted last time.

With difficulty, Riko tried to get up. He was startled when he realized that his leg was fine.

'This is so weird! How could that be?'

Riko digs into his memory to discover why he can mysteriously move. However, suddenly his stomach rumbled with hunger. He just realized that he hadn't eaten until his brain struggled to think.

No matter how long he had been unconscious, he couldn't remember anything.

'I have to find food to stay alive!'

Riko roams the forest for wild fruits or anything else to survive. However, the young man fell often because his body was limp due to lack of blood and hunger.

On the way, Riko accidentally found a strange city.

Riko watched the city from behind a big tree.

'What is the city? How could a foreign city be in the middle of a forest?'
