The Power of The Dominant Husband

Chapter 7

"Samuel.. how could he say that?" Fiona was stunned for a few moments. She had not expected Samuel to put pressure on Anthonio. 

Fiona knew that Anthonio was a very stubborn man. He often spoke his mind and went against the advice of some of his other coworkers. But this time, Samuel made his face very pale.

Fiona noticed Samuel staring intently at Anthonio's face. Her husband's gaze was dominating, and she realized that something was different about Samuel now. 

"He's very talkative," Fiona spoke in her heart. 

She knew about Samuel's origins. He came from a poor family and did not even graduate from college. She could hardly believe that Samuel would help her by giving those words to Anthonio. Samuel's confidence amazed her.

He had never worked in his life, so how could he understand the company Anthonio was managing? This was even his first day in the company. 

Anthonio's eye movements were getting more and more agile. "Stop talking nonsense." He raised his voice loudly, ignoring that someone could hear him. "You don't even know what you're talking about."

All this time, he had heard many rumors about Fiona being the only person working for the family. She did that because of her useless husband. Samuel was just spending all his time being an unemployed husband who took care of the housework. It was a foolish thing to do. 

Anthony couldn't stop himself from giving her an insult. "A housekeeping man like you doesn't deserve to say all that."

Anthonio glanced at Fiona. He saw that she was covering her face to avoid her husband's gaze. Anthonio knew she must be doing well to have a useless husband like him. 

"Look at your appearance. You're not even worthy of being called a husband." He smoothed his suit and spread his arms, revealing his almost perfect appearance. "Look at me, fool. I'm a manager, and of course, my knowledge is far more extensive than that of a wretch like you." 

"Fiona deserves a much more perfect husband than you. You're just trash." 

Anthonio emphasized his insult. 

He was not at all happy that someone had insulted his pride, and he didn't like being put down by a lowlife like Samuel. His knowledge was extraordinary. No one dared judge or doubt his performance during this time, and he gained a lot of trust from his superiors. 

Actually, he thought that Fiona was a beautiful woman. He liked the woman with the gorgeous body. It's just that Fiona's attitude is very stubborn. But that didn't rule out the fact that he wanted her. 

The noise of the commotion attracted the attention of the workers there. When they found out that Fiona's poor husband had offended Anthonio, some commented. 

"Mr. Anthonio is a great man. No one should dare to doubt him, especially a man who knows nothing." A man in red glanced sharply at Samuel. 

Someone else noticed that. He also judged Samuel very lowly. "He should know better, but who would doubt Mr. Anthonio. You are the best manager so far."

Fiona exhaled. Seeing more and more chaos made her head hurt. She pressed her head hard, trying to relieve the pain. 

She knew that something like this could happen. She regretted that she had expected too much from Samuel, even though she knew that Samuel could not do anything at all. And about Anthonio, even though that man was very stubborn, he always got more marks from his superiors. 

She was actually tired of the whole situation. She had a lot of work to do, and when she came home, he had to see her mother and brother screaming and finding fault with Samuel. 

She wanted him to understand that he needed to be able to give her peace of mind. The man couldn't create chaos in his workplace. He looked at Samuel sharply. "Stop all this!"

"It would be best if you all went back to work. We are preoccupied with this important meeting. We should focus on the meeting. We need to make the right decision." Fiona's gaze fell on everyone there. Anthonio included.

Anthonio clucked with annoyance. He wasn't yet satisfied with giving insults, but knowing that Fiona wasn't in favor of her husband had made him feel happy. "Alright, let's go. Stupid men like him will only be a nuisance."

Fiona nodded helplessly. The irritation in her heart made her ignore Samuel, and she was about to leave with the others. But at this moment, Samuel stopped her hand. 

Fiona stopped and looked at him coldly. Before she could say anything, Samuel said. "Remember, if you have to make the right decision."

"It seems that you should rethink the cooperation between this company and Corporindo." Samuel did not let go of Fiona's hand; he needed to say all this, so he continued. "They are a company on the verge of bankruptcy, which will only create losses."

"Avoiding cooperation is much better than you signing that agreement." Samuel gave Fiona plenty of warning. 

Samuel's voice was heard by Anthonio. Irritated, the man turned around. His face was more with emotion. "Stop talking nonsense. Don't be a smart ass about this. You're not anyone!" His index finger was directly in front of Samuel. 

"The talks about this partnership have been going on for a very long time before you came and said all those stupid words. No one will believe a word you say." Anthonio withdrew his hand, but the glare in his eyes only intensified. 

Although Samuel had not worked for this company before, he had heard some information on the radio. After he received some documents from Justin, he learned many things. 

He also heard about companies in danger of bankruptcy one year ago. He knew that the company would be working with Medco. Inc. He thought that all of that was dangerous. Many losses would occur.

But right now, Fiona looked at him angrily after hearing something nonsensical. Irritated, she let go of Samuel's hand. 

"Stop what you're doing, Samuel!" Fiona seemed to be breathing heavily as she spoke. Holding back the great emotion in her head. In fact, it felt like her body was starting to burn with anger. 

In her opinion, Samuel had gone too far. "You don't know anything. Don't speak as if you know everything. Remember that I have been working here longer than you. And your words will only make you feel ashamed."
