Summer’s eyes at the moment widened in surprise when she saw Jason walking out of the police station. She had been so worried because she knew they used to get him, she thought that he might be stuck in there for a long time about the painting and she was here to give her own little experience about the painting. But here he was, free and looked unharmed. At that moment relief washed over her, but she could tell by the look on Jason’s face that something was bothering him and she wondered what it was.

At that moment Summer looked down at herself, suddenly feeling self-conscious. She was wearing tattered clothes, and her shoes were worn out. She hadn’t had time to change before rushing to the police station to see Jason, and now she felt embarrassed seeing him alright and she is dressed this way. But it was more than just her appearance—her whole demeanor was tired and defeated.
