The Prodigious Ex-Husband

Jaden Reed's hand became tightly balled up into a fist as he contemplated a number of unsettling topics all at once. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally let out a sigh of relief and smiled knowingly. However, he was able to maintain control of himself at the crucial moment and prevent them from falling. 

At this point in time, he shouldn't have been weak but rather should have maintained his strength throughout. Despite the fact that he was broke and had done everything in his power to please them, including turning himself into a slave, Helen Rae insisted that he should end his marriage to Vera and get a divorce. What a complete and utter fool he was to have believed that he could win their heart and have his wife feel the same way about him as she did toward his wife. His wife did not feel the same way about him as she did toward his wife. At this point, wasn't he just the embodiment of utter and total ineffectiveness?

As soon as Jaden had finished clearing his throat, he resumed his conversation with them. After he had finished expressing his thoughts, he stood up and said, "Okay, I'll divorce Vera." before exiting the villa.

As Jaden was finishing up his preparations to leave, he noticed that both Helen Rae and Vera wore a happy expression on their faces.

As they watched him walk away, Helen turned to her daughter and said with a smile, "Now that your pitiful, poverty-stricken husband of yours has agreed to divorce you, I have found many good men for you." Helen was referring to the fact that her daughter's husband had agreed to a divorce.

 They were able to see him leave the villa once they had witnessed him leaving through the door of the villa. 

“Have a look at these pictures that feature male models as subjects. They are all extremely attractive people.”Helen took out her phone and immediately began presenting her daughter with pictures of a number of different men.

“He goes by the name Zachary Levi, and he resides out in the countryside. Entrepreneur with a lot of success who also gives a lot of money away. This year, he will turn 28 years old.  In your opinion, what kind of a person is he? Isn’t he perfect?" 

Helen continued telling her story while concentrating her full attention on her daughter and scrolling through the photos on her phone in order to view the next one.

"This is Warren Buffett; he is 30 years old and was born in Mexico but raised  in the United States. Bear in mind that he possesses a solid command of the English language. He is a basketball player who is extremely well-known all over the world. Because of the enormous wealth he has amassed, he is in the position to maintain a lavish way of life. What do you think, isn't he charming, and wouldn't he be perfect for the part?"

While Vera's mother was speaking, Vera continued to put on her makeup while making a face that indicated she was upset and pretending she hadn't heard her mother.

"Vera, what in the world is wrong with you? Do you not prefer any of those available choices? Helen explained that she was hissing because the behavior of her daughter was becoming more and more irritating to her.

Vera left the house once she had finished her makeup to the point where she was satisfied with it. 

She acted distantly toward Helen and disclosed to her that she had no desire to tie the knot right now.

She  yelled at her mother, "Mum, I don't want any of those men," and she listened intently. “In the name of God and everything holy, I really just want to finalize our separation already. After getting a divorce just today, there is no way you can seriously believe that I will tie the knot the day after tomorrow. For the time being, you should just put that thought out of your mind”.

Vera took her make-up kit and walked to her room. In spite of the fact that she had never placed a significant amount of importance on Jaden in the past, she felt a great deal of regret after giving her consent to the divorce and watching Jaden go his own way after the breakup. She had the feeling that she would be missing out on something important by not going. However, what caused these feelings in the first place?

To tell you the truth, she was aware that Jaden loved her with all of his heart and that throughout all of these years of their marriage, he had been a very good man; however, the fact that he was poor and unable to provide her with a life that was full of luxury was what caused her to grow apart from him.

 He was unable to provide her with a life that was full of luxury because of their financial situation. She was one of the top five most beautiful women in the city, and in order to preserve the radiance of her skin, she could not live with a man who was having trouble making ends meet.

In all of the years that they had been married, Vera had maintained the mindset that Jaden was someone who she did not require in her life. She only wanted a divorce from him so that she would be free to lead a lavish lifestyle once she was no longer tied to him.

"I can't wait to get divorced from that scumbag.." Vera lamented.

After he had left the house where Rae's family was staying, he thought about where he could go to get some peace and quiet in order to regain his sanity because it seemed as though he was losing his mind. In the end, he settled on the idea of going to the local bar in the city. 

When Jaden was on his way to unwind at a local bar in the middle of the city, he was abruptly stopped by a stranger who turned out to be the brother of his wife. Jaden was surprised to learn that the stranger was his brother-in-law. 

The revelation of this information caught Jaden off guard.

"What do you want, and why are you standing in my way?Why are you obstructing my path?" 

"What gives you the right to get in my way?" In spite of the unhappy expression that was on his face, Jaden threw something. 

What was causing him to have such a difficult time interacting with everyone today?

"What exactly is going on, Jaden? Are you not happy to see me, or what? The other person insulted him by referring to him as a miserable and destitute dog. 

The fact that this was not the first time Jaden had been insulted rendered his insults completely meaningless to him because he was already accustomed to receiving them.

"Anyway, being the leech of the family, I just want you to give me back the one million dollars you stole from my sister," he  said."l

When he responded, "Who asked you to come to me?" Jaden sneered at him  and asked. “Do you get the impression that I am someone who is wealthy, or even someone who has more than one million dollars in the bank?”

On the other hand, Jaden was completely unaware that his ex  mother-in-law was the one plotting everything behind the scenes. All she wanted was to watch him beg for food while groveling on his knees and she would have been satisfied.

The man did not answer Jaden's question, but he did say that he despised Jaden more than anyone else. Jaden was the only person he disliked more than anything else.He yelled at the man, "Just give me the money, you lowlife," as he  approached him. 

Still fuming, Jaden yelled at him, "I've already told you that I don't have any money; don't you understand?"

The man tried to strike Jaden, but Jaden was quick enough to avoid him while simultaneously kicking the man who fell to the ground. Jaden succeeded in knocking the man down . The blow to the head knocked the man down .

He began his training in martial arts while he was still a bachelor, and he quickly became so skilled that he could easily prevail in a fight against anyone.

The check that Jaden had been given by Vera Rae  was ripped to pieces by Jaden, and he threw the pieces of the check in the direction of the other man's face.

“Because I am capable of looking after myself, I do not require any assistance or financial support from the Rae family.”

From where he was sitting on the ground, where he was in pain, the man yelled at Jaden and said, "You fool, how dare you hit me." 

Jaden responded mockingly by saying, "You fool, how dare you hit me." 

“Do you require any additional evidence to conclude that I am related to the Rae family? I am going to teach you a lesson, and there is no question in my mind that I am going to teach you a lesson…”

He paid no attention to him and continued on his way to the neighborhood bar, which was his initial plan before he got sidetracked by something else.

As soon as the man realized that Jaden had left, he pulled out his phone and dialed Vera's number while pretending to be in a great deal of pain and anguish. 

He did this while acting as if he were in a desperate situation. "Sis, that scumbag who claims to be your  so-called husband Jaden attacked me and wounded me badly.."

Vera was listening in on the conversation from the other end when she suddenly blurted out, "What?"
