Bastard didn’t even pay for the drinks.” The bartender hissed as he continued

“What time was this? When he ran out? I mean when everyone ran after the shots were heard.” Jonathan continued, at some point he had already started to record what the bartender was saying.

“Around a quarter past, I didn’t look at the clock.”

“The man who got shot, how long did he leave before you heard the shots?”

“Minutes he walked through the doors.”

“He pushed open the door..”

“Yeah, that’s the way it usually works and mind you, I don’t appreciate sarcasm.”

‘Smack him on both side of the head and slam his head down.’ Jonathan thought inwardly but he didn’t give in to his urges. “And there were shots the minute he stepped out?”

“Yeah.”

Which meant that someone had been waiting for Rhys to come out, he had probably followed Rhys all the way to the bar. “How many shots?”
