Chapter one hundred and eighty one

“We’ll always have each other,” Jonathan whispered, his voice filled with conviction as he glanced at Lydia and Elena. He realized that had to be strong for them both.

Elena nodded, her eyes welling up with fresh tears. “And we’ll always have Rhys’s memory,” she added, her voice cracking.

Lydia looked up, her eyes red-rimmed. “We’ll keep him alive in our hearts,” she whispered.

In that moment, they found a glimmer of hope, a sense of purpose. They would rebuild their lives, together, and they would never forget the one they had lost.

As they pulled back, Jonathan smiled, a small, sad smile. “We’ll get through this,” he repeated.
