And then, just as quickly, they looked away, the silence between them growing thicker, more impenetrable. The evening air was heavy with unspoken words, with secrets and lies. But as they drove deeper into the darkness, they both knew that they would have to face the truth, no matter how painful it might be.

As they arrived at the Topaz mansion, Elena turned to Jonathan with a grateful smile. “Thank you for driving me home,” she said, her voice sincere.

Elena nodded, feeling a sense of reassurance with Jonathan’s words. She knew she could always count on him.

“We is my grandfather?” She wanted to see her grandfather first, to inform him of Atlas deed.

“The Patriarch has retired for the night, he insisted that no one comes to see him.”
