The machines surrounding Elena’s bed beeped wildly, their alarms piercing the air. Luther’s face contorted in anguish, his grip on Elena’s hand tightening.

“No,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “Please, no.”

Dr. Lex approached him, his expression somber. “Patriarch, I’m afraid we’re running out of time,” he said, his voice gentle but firm. “We’ve tried everything, but…it’s not looking good.”

Luther’s eyes flashed with determination. “You have to save her,” he said, his voice low and even. “I don’t care what it takes. Just save her.”

Dr. Lex nodded, his face set in a determined expression. “We’ll do everything in our power, Patriarch. But we need to be realistic. The virus is…unpredictable.”

As the medical team continued their efforts, Luther’s mind raced with memories of Elena’s life.
