Jonathan’s voice turned cold. “He meant that you were the first test subject to survive the experimentation. And that… and that you were the key to unlocking the secrets of the human mind.”

Rhys felt a chill run down his spine. He knew he had to get to the bottom of this, but he was also afraid of what he might find. “Were you able to get a name of who is behind this?” He asked, his voice firm.

Jonathan’s expression was unyielding. “I don’t know yet. But I’ll find out soon. And when I do… they’ll pay for trying to mess with you.”

Rhys nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. He knew Jonathan would stop at nothing to uncover the truth, and he was grateful for his friend’s unwavering loyalty but he also knew that Jonathan’s methods were dangerous,
