Chapter hundred

As soon as Rhys walked out of the office, his phone rang. He pulled it out of his pocket and saw his supposed best friend’s, Jonathan’s name flashing on the screen. “Hey, man, where are you?” Jonathan asked, his voice low and urgent.

“I just left my uncle’s office,” Rhys replied, his voice still shaking with anger. “That conversation was a long time coming.”

“What happened?” Jonathan asked, his curiosity evident.

Rhys took a deep breath and summarized his conversation with his uncle, leaving out no details. Jonathan listened intently, his silence broken by occasional grunts of disbelief.

“Wow, Rhys, I’m so sorry you had to go through that,” Jonathan said when Rhys finished. “But I’m glad you stood up to him. You deserve so much better than to be treated like that.”

“Thanks, man,” Rhys said, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his friend. “But enough about that. Where are you? Where did you hide the doctor? What’s urgent? Hope your act has not been found yet?” Rhys chuckled at the end
