Chapter one hundred and sixteen

He knew his mother was right, but he just didn’t know how to change. He was a man of habit, a man of routine. But for Elena sake and in order not to cause her to feel embarrassed in the eyes of the public, he was willing to try.

Rhys entered his room, exhausted from his mission. He locked the door behind him and walked over to the mirror. He took a deep breath, and as he exhaled, Rhys found himself in his inter-dimensional space. He looked around, taking in the familiar sights and sounds of the space. And then, he saw Rio.

Rio was no longer the childlike spirit Rhys had grown accustomed to. Instead, he was now a teenager, with a mischievous grin and sparkling eyes.

“Rhys! You are finally here, it’s so great to see you!” Rio exclaimed, bouncing up and down like a rubber ball. “I’ve missed you so much! You’ve been gone for ages!” Rhys was so occupied that he never had time to enter the space or train his inner Essence.

Rhys couldn’t help but laugh at Rio’s antics. “Rio, you’re…different
