Chapter one hundred and thirty two

The two men stood there, their faces inches apart, their anger and resentment palpable. “You’re finished, Christopher,” Alessandro spat. “Finished. You’ll never work in here again once father gets to know about this.”

Christopher just laughed. “We’ll see aboult that,” he said. “I have friends, Alessandro. Friends who will help me take you down.”

Alessandro’s eyes narrowed. “I’m not afraid of you, Christopher,” he said. “I’m not afraid of your friends. I’ll fight you every step of the way.” And with that, Alessandro stormed out of the room, their argument far from over.

Christopher paced back and forth in his office, his mind racing with thoughts of what Rhys would do now that his actions had been exposed. He had always known that Rhys was a threat, but he had never thought that he would be caught so soon.
