Chapter 15- The Library of Legends

My father seemed to recognize me even with my disguise and seemed puzzled and surprised to see me. I told him the reason why I was not in the academy. He seemed puzzled to see me come to the palace for a book! But when I asked him to permit me to enter the ruined library of legends, his face completely change and he asked me “Who told you about the existence of the ruined library of legends.” I replied that the Dean was the person who informed me of that library. He nodded and said, “I will allow you to enter since you are the crown prince but you can only enter the library if you cannot find that book in our royal library.” I nodded and proceeded towards the royal library.

After I started to thoroughly search the library, I found some interesting books on various sectors. I put them in my inventory.

Okay, Okay it’s Kronos’s inventory, Happy now Kronos. Kronos went silent after I thought of the inventory as something that belonged to Kronos.

A few minutes later

Even though I had found several interesting books that were put inside Kronos’s inventory. I could not find the book “History of the Gods” anywhere in the weird library. After all the books here were worth a rich person’s lifetime savings. There were most probably only the original books in the world and there would not be any copies anywhere else. That shows just how valuable these books were. This must mean that the book I desire must be in the ruined library of legends. What an exaggerative name for a library.

After I got the location of the library and a key from my father, I proceeded toward the location of the library. I took several stairs down to the cellar and found a single bookshelf of ordinary books and slightly pulled out the book with the name “Book on Secret pathways” as my father had instructed. After I slightly pulled the book, the complete bookshelf turned with me and I found myself in front of an ancient door that emitted strong nature magic. I notice that my body was absorbing an abundant amount of Nature magic from the door. This door must be from the ancient age since materials emitting magic were impossible to find at the present age according to the knowledge that I had gathered from Richard’s memory and through books.

Although materials emitting magic were impossible and expensive to find, materials that conduct magic like the stones that were used to check magic affinities were quite cheap even for some middle-class commoners but they are expensive for the lower-class commoners and slaves that were secretly traded in the black market. I should be able to use the key I got from my father for this door. I was also told that there was an ancient being that was looking after the library and that I was not to anger that being under any condition.

I took out the mysteriously looking key that did not seem to look at all like a key but since my father seemed to say that it was a key, it must be a key. I then proceeded to put the key in the key lock and turned it. Then I saw the most beautiful scene ever as it opened. A green light came from the lock to all parts of the door and the door opened like those futuristic doors that opened like a flower blooming and opening through the walls. So this was the amazing thing that I would see when I open the door.

Then when I entered through the door I was stunned and froze at that moment seeing the most beautiful indescribable scenery that I had ever seen. That was saying a lot since I managed to get some money that escaped the eyes of those parasite elders that sucked the guild resources and income dry, with that money I had gone on several trips around the world and seen fascinating sceneries that people rarely saw but the scenery that I was seeing here made all of the beautiful scenes I had seen before ugly. There were several waterfalls, flying books, Greenery everywhere, and magnificent skyscrapers filled with ancient books that exuded auras of immortals.

[This weak aura is nothing compared to the weakest of gods but it is quite surprising to see such auras on mortal realms and even more surprising to see the auras of gods mixed in them, even though they seemed to have lost their previous magnificent auras under the presence of so many weaker auras]

Let me at least exaggerate something so beautiful and forbidding but I must say this must be so wonderful to receive praise from you and these words you said must be the longest you ever spoke.

While I and my Kronos were contemplating the beauty of the library, I received a late warning from Kronos regarding somebody that had come near me. I turned around to see A owl spirit that emitted a powerful aura.

[This spirit is close to reaching the stage of spirit king. After she reaches this stage she would become the king/Queen of spirit if there was not any ruler for the spirits or if there was a ruler, she could have a battle with him/her to see who is superior.]
