Chapter 24: The past

William's eyes opened abruptly as a strong ache filled his body. He struggled to move to raise his upper torso as his body drowned in serious pain.

"Ouch!" A painful cry escaped from his mouth as he felt a sharp pain spread across his body, sending a cold chill down his spine.

His eyes moved around the dimly lit room as he surveyed his environment.

"Where am I?" He asked himself, as he couldn't find the place familiar to his memory.

"Ahhhh.. F*CK!" He couldn't help but yell out in pain as tears escaped from his eyes. He felt a sharpness inside his head when he tried to remember.

His head has swollen due to the rod hit on his head.

He tried to raise his hand, but he couldn't, making him look down to see what was happening.

It was at this moment that he realised that he was tied tight to a pillar in the centre of the dark room.
