Chapter 29 Her safety

"Boss, I think your first uncle might be the mastermind," Bright guessed. His first uncle's strange reaction had raised suspicions; it was as if he couldn't wait to usurp Jerome's position.

"No, he isn't," Jerome shook his head. "My first uncle doesn't have the power to do that, and it's not his style. Even if I stepped down, he wouldn't be able to turn the situation around. I've been observing everyone's reactions, and I suspect none of them had a hand in what happened."

Despite his suspicions, Jerome had remained quiet, hoping to figure out the culprit among his employees. He knew his first uncle wanted him out, but he didn't believe he would do anything to jeopardize the company.
