Chapter 4~

John brought out a card, stretching it to Alex who glared bluntly at it. "Why are you giving me a bank card?"

"I was never opportune to give the Young master a present in the past, so I thought I should do so now." He smiled. "This is your bank card, Mast Wayne."

Alex couldn't hold back the urge to laugh as everything was happening in just a blink of an eye. One minute ago he was a wretched son-in-law who couldn't even fund his own family. Now, he is getting a bank card with a golden inscription... VIP.

"How much do I have here?" He asked.

John smiled. "It's way too big for the Young master to assume."

Alex stared closely at the card to be sure he wasn't just imagining this happening. However, it was reality displaying itself to him. For John to make such a statement means what was in the account was beyond description.

"Now that you have the bank card, I'll be pleased if the Young master spends the dollars."

Alex didn't know if he should scream or probably act like it was nothing. But this felt like a bomb to him. He never expected this. No, this was the least he ever thought of.

"It's fifty million dollars in that account, so you have more than enough to spend." John finally exposed.

Fifty million dollars? Indeed that was a huge amount, one Alex couldn't finish in a day. He took the card with him and decided to confirm it from the bank.

He boarded a taxi, "Central Bank." He said. The taxi driver looked at him from head to toe before letting him in.

He had gkared at him in that manner because he knew someone like Alex wouldn't be allowed into the bank. Alex entered, his excitement was beyond bond that he didn't even noticed the driver's attitude earlier.

He was much concerned about confirming the money in the account and possibly buying the things he needed. The little pocket money he had with him was what he used to pay the taxi driver.

On reaching there, the security made him stop. "How may we help you, Mr.?" They asked rudely, their eyes scanning him from head to toe in a disgusted manner.

Neglecting their attitude, he replied. "I want to meet the manager of the bank."

Without saying a word to him, they burst out laughing. "Look who wants to see the manager." One of them said as he forced himself to laugh hard.

"Excuse me, what's so funny about what I just said?" He snarled.

But they kept laughing. "You want to see the manager?"

Alex frowned. "I want to meet with the manager, isn't that enough for you to let me in?" He fused.

"I'm sorry, Mister, we won't let people like you in here. And besides, the manager is too busy to attend to you, so just simply leave while you still can."

Alex was annoyed at the way people seemed to underestimate the poor, depriving them of their rights. "Look here, gentlemen, I don't have the time to waste, I have important places to go. Now, will you let me in?"

"No, we can't." The other said. "Rather, you are leaving this place immediately."

"Yes, you can." He insisted.

"And why would you think we would let you in?"

"Because I am a customer." He said, throwing them a hard glare. "Now, can I go in and meet the manager now?"

"Let's let him in, we'll see who is ready to attend to him." The other said, holding his colleague back to let him in.

Alex walked past them, making his way in. His entrance and likewise his appearance alone drew attention to himself. All eyes were on him, including the workers and customers.

Since the Central Bank was known as the bank for elites, they assumed he had lost his way or probably wanted to have a sight see. "Why would the securities let someone like this in here?" One of the workers asked.

He acted not to have heard that, rather he walked towards a desk, "I'm here for the manager, how can I find him?" He requested, but instead of attending to his demand, they all burst out laughing.

"I'm sorry, the manager isn't around."

"When will he be around so I can come over?" He demanded.

"He won't be available today." The worker mocked. "So please come back some other time."

"If I find out that you are lying to me, I'll have you reported to your boss." He angrily turned to leave when a voice sounded.

"What's going on here?" A young man walked out of his office due to the noise, so he decided to check what was going on.

"This young gentleman requested to see you." Said the worker.

Surprised to see Alex, the manager wasn't pleased that someone like him would enter his bank, but he hid how disappointed he was, rather he attended to him.

"How may I help you, gentleman?" He asked.

"I'm here to see the manager." He said again.

"I am the manager. What do you want?" He asked,

"Okay, thank you. I received an alert in my account, and I want to confirm it."

"Can I see your card?" He requested and Alex wasted no second to give him his card. "Wait here." The man instructed and Alex did. The cold gaze staring at him made him feel quite uncomfortable, but he was much more interested in the money and not the stares.

"You are Mr Wayne, right?" The manager asked as he walked out of his office.

"Yes, I am."

"We received the notification an hour ago. Thank you so much for banking with us, you have become our VIP customer and for that, we have credited your account with the sum of ten million dollars." The manager threw the good news to him.

An extra ten million dollars? The whole thing looked like a movie to him. The once criticism workers grew shocked at the announcement. "Thank you once again, Mr Wayne, it's nice banking with us."

Alex smirked. "Same here."
