Dinner was unusually silent. Roselia's eyes flickered to Zade more often than not, but the man was busy eating his food.

"I'm sorry I came late. Something urgent came up and I had to stay back," she apologized.

"It's fine, just eat your food."

"Ummm…" she pointed her fork across the dishes, "isn't this a little too much for just two people?"

"I guess I overcooked a little. I will put some of them away in the fridge," he answered quietly. Guilt ate deep into her.

"Zade I…"

"Like I said, just eat your food," he interrupted. Roselia nodded and continued eating her food silently, yet she felt uneasy with everything happening. Something did not just feel right about the situation.

"Elizabeth called."

Roselia's hand froze on the fork. She slowly looked up at Zade, trying to find answers in his eyes, but those honey-brown eyes remained mysterious.

"She didn't exactly call… I did. She apologized for neglecting and promised she was coming home today… so I made these…"
