Hard truths

"Discard it," Tyrone ordered.

"Sir?"

"I said discard it, nitwit. Are you fucking deaf?" Tyrone yelled and the guard quickly scurried away with the box.

Tyrone ruffled his hair and then buried his face in his face in his palm. The pain in his chest was pouring in torrents. When Zade made the threat, he'd assumed that the man was bluffing. He never really thought that Zade would be heartless enough to kill a child.

Clearly, he underestimated the man and his little girl had taken the fall. The instructions were simple. Take care of her and make sure she wakes up in seventy-two hours. Zade obviously knew the latter was impossible to be decided by man and probably expected him to put some effort in the first but he let his arrogance get in the way.

How was he going to explain this to Olivia? That her daughter died because he couldn't do something as simple as taking care of an unconscious woman?

She would die of heartbreak and if she survived it, she would leave him without looking bac
