Surprise customer

customer walked into the shop while Helen was trying to balance the cash register. When he leaned on her desk, the familiar cologne forced her to look up.

Her jaw dropped when she saw the last person she expected to see.

“Did you miss your way?” She asked coldly.

“That is not a very nice way to address your husband,” Tyrone said smugly. Helen didn't smile.

“What do you want? I'm sure you're not here to buy coffee,” she almost gritted. Who would believe that a day that was going so well just needed her arrogant abusive ex to ruin it?

She couldn't even calm him and his ex because they weren't legally separated. However, she was going to make sure they did as soon as she was done serving her punishment.

“I just wanted to talk to you,” he said.

“We're open for coffee, not therapy sessions. If you can't hire a therapist then do well to go to church and talk to a priest. They are always willing to listen to you. I don't have the time for this.”

She returned to what she was doing. Ty
