“Are you sure you want to be discharged? Your wounds are still fresh?” Elizabeth asked worriedly.

Zade didn’t mention the events of earlier to her. He didn’t want any more unnecessary attention.

“Is the house ready?” He asked, instead. Her emerald eyes furrowed at him, searching his eyes thoroughly. Zade let out a sigh, “I’ll take treatment for home. I’m just uncomfortable here. You know how much I detest hospitals.”

She seemed to buy his explanation because the intensity of her stare lessened.

“Fine, then. I’ll sign the papers and have you discharged. The maids should be done with most of the cleaning by now. You know the house has never been inhabited,” Elizabeth told him.

“Thanks, Liz,” Zade smiled.

“I still can’t imagine how you survived as a dispatch rider for that long. Your current account doesn’t have up to five thousand dollars,” She said, heading for the door. He couldn’t give a rep[ly because she was already out of the door.
