CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED & EIGHTY-NINE

Adam, Leila and Ariel were headed to the park in Sunton; as Adam drove, country music played on the stereo; it was a favourite genre of his and was fast becoming Ariel's as well.

After a few minutes of driving, they arrived at Sunton Street, and Ariel stared out the window, her mouth slightly falling open as she unabashedly stared,

“So lovely," she whispered to herself. The place was beautiful, and Adam was inclined to agree,

“Sunton Street is now so beautiful,” he added while smiling; he felt goosebumps on his body; it was bittersweet for him to see Ariel happy in this place.

Ariel's eyes lit up and she excitedly pointed at a truck across the street,

“Is that an ice cream truck?” she asked,

“Sure it is.”

Adam responded, staring at her from his mirror,

“Wait till you see the park,” he told her, trying to brew up more excitement for her as she was elated.

“Ooohh, I cannot wait.” She replied excitedly, rubbing her palms together, almost jumping on her seat.
