CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED & TWO
While Madam Ruth's eyes had harshly landed upon Adam, Derek was still glaring at Adam, grinding his teeth together as he did.

Derek, with venom dripping from his voice barely above a whisper, glared at Adam,

"This isn't over, not by a long shot," he hissed, punctuating his threat with a look that could freeze hell over.

As he tried to compose himself before returning to his seat, Madam Ruth on the stage, with her scanning eyes still locked onto Adam, ignited into flames of unspoken fury.

Her face, a picture of anger, twisted further as her lips contorted into a disdainful sneer.

A storm brewed within her as she silently questioned within herself,

'What is that bloody commoner doing here?'

With no words exchanged, she turned on her heels, her movements sharp and determined as she advanced toward Mira.

Mira, observing the approaching storm that was her mother, drew a deep, steadying breath, bracing herself for the impending confrontation,
