In the broken remains of what used to be a city....

A loud noise tore through the sky as a fighting jet disturbed its peace and serenity. Bullets rained from the sky and the earth erupted in loud explosions.

Lifeless bodies streamed down the ground and blood soaked up the earth.

In the eyes of Jayden Knox, it was nothing new. He didn't even as much as flinch at the sight of the bodies now lying cold on the ground and the blood that surrounded them.

Maybe because the majority of them weren't his own men.

Rose and Sky City never learned to get together. The two had been at war for as long as Jayden could think back on.

But today, history will take place. That day would be the first day that Rose City would win against Sky City and once again be triumphant over their enemies.

Few men were left standing in what used to be the Sky army, and they immediately waved a flag of peace.

"They have surrendered, sir! We win!" A young soldier erupted with excitement, face covered in ash from smoke and dirt.

Jayden heaved a sigh of relief. After days of fighting, they had won yet again, adding another to his countless wins in the past five years he had served in the military.

"Let's head back to base!" Jayden ordered in a stern and commanding tone, and no man dared to sluggishly carry out his order.

Back at the base, Jayden changed into fresh clothes. It had been uncomfortable being in the same clothes for weeks-- although he was used to it.

A bright eyed lady ran up to him, her golden hair was pushed back in a tight bun that bounced behind her and there was a glint of worry in the way she looked at him.

"Mr General," she called his title, her voice like music. "I have news for you... Bad news."

Jayden stared confusedly at her with squinted eyes.

She was his subordinate, Nova Benoit. Beautiful, charismatic and serene yet fierce, intelligent and a good weapon wielder. Her beauty was enough to make any man waver. If it weren't for the fact that Jayden was engaged, he would have fallen for her as well.

Though it would be a lie if he claimed she hadn't made him waver once.

"What is it?" He questioned immediately.

"A call came in for you, and it was from your sister. She is in danger."

"What do you mean?" His forehead creased as confusion swallowed him whole."

She took out a phone and pressed a button. Jayden felt his heart stop for a second as his sister's voice was heard from the phone.

"Jayden, please I need your help. The Hawkins have taken me hostage, and they are planning on selling me to one of their cliques. Mom and dad are dead! They were killed by a conspiracy by the four giants and Olivia, your fiancée!

"They set you up! They set us all up! Olivia has taken everything from us! Please save me, I don't want to..."

The message cut off there and Jayden felt like leaping onto the phone and grabbing his sister.

He didn't know what to feel at the moment, but he knew what he was going to do. "Track her location right now!" His voice thundered.

"Yes sir!" Nova ran off to carry out the order.

How could his fiancée do such a thing to him? He would never have left for the military five years ago if he had been set up by the four giants of Rose City, but what he didn't believe was that his wife was a part of the conspiracy!

Five years ago, he can remember drinking with Olivia, his fiancée, at a party thrown by the Hawkins... One of the four giants, and later spending the night with her.

But it was only after he sobered up did he realize he had spent a steamy night with another woman!

Elsie Holden, a beautiful and kind woman who forgave him and saved him from going to jail. He had never expected the young woman to drop the case, but she was only kind enough to forgive him.

Instead, he was sent to the military and he had made a name for himself. A great one!

Those who knew him well called him Ares God! Others named him war himself and everyone knew of his continuous victory. The people of Rose City served him and praised him even though they didn't know his identity.

He bit down on his tongue. While he scored himself flawless wins and built his name, his parents had died and now his sister, the only family he had left, would be taken away from him.

Now the little fortune his family owned had been taken over by Olivia and the others shared amongst the greedy, graying four giants of Rose City.

'Was that their plan all along? Did Olivia really conspire with them?' Those questions and more taunted his head.

"Not while I walk this earth," he said through gritted teeth.

His fist was a ball of rage and anger caused his blood to boil. He wouldn't stand still and let his sister be sold off into slavery, especially to greedy men like the four giants.

Nova appeared, her petite body positioned next to him. "Mr general, we have tracked her down to an auction house in Rose City. A property in the name of the Hawkins family."

"Alright. Keep track of their movements and make sure that none of those graying bloody bastards leave where they are, block off all the roads if you have to!" Anger caused his voice to rumble like a growing storm.

"Everyone! Gather your things and be on the plane right now! Whoever slacks will be left behind!"

"Yes sir!"

They all chorused a reply, running about to settle themselves as well as they could before getting on the plane.

Boarding the plane, they were all seated and buckled safely. The young pilot flying the plane asked Jayden, "Destination, supreme general?"

Jayden's brow fell, and his forehead creased with anger. The four giants had messed with his life and family before to take everything away from them.

Like forcing his parents to take their own lives wasn't enough, they wanted to ruin his sister's chance at being happy as well. Well, he wouldn't let that happen to her.

After all, he was the supreme general, wasn't he?

Earlier, he didn't know how to feel after hearing his sister's message, but it was clear to him now that rage was all that was left in him.

He responded coolly. "Home."
