Although Lauren didn’t expect that he would react this way, she understood, anyway. She knew it wasn’t going to be an easy decision, but rather, a tough call.

“Calm down, Quincy. I’m sorry if I hit the wrong spot. I was just trying to be very realistic.” She said and rose to her feet. “But right now, you’re still in pain, and I’m sorry I haven’t given the answer that you would have loved to hear, but let’s meet again, Quincy.”

“You know very well that it’s because of our close relationship that you’re still standing in my office, comfortably, right? Lauren, with all due respect, please don’t see me if what you’re going to say, is going to be so annoying.” Quincy said to her, and she sighed, sadly.

“Quincy, I know you. You can always wriggle your way out of any situation; just don’t be too slow on this one. See you some other time.” She said to him and then left.
