Lauren’s eyes blinked, and then she looked back at the receptionist.

“Uhm… You know what? I’ll be back later to book an appointment with him. Thank you.” She said to the receptionist and left immediately, and left with her manager.

As soon as they were out of the company and had gotten into the car, she let out a relieved breath.

“Oh, my goodness. That was a close call.” She said, under her breath, and looked at her window, only to see Kohler, and Alexander, walking out of the company.

Then she turned to her manager, who was looking like he didn’t understand all that was going on, especially since the moment she said she wasn’t benefitting anything from meeting Mr. Alexander.

“Remember. I do not want to hear this from anyone else. Everything you’ve seen and heard or will hear about this case, I do not want to hear it from someone else, neither do I want you to think about it too deeply.” She cautioned her manager.
