“If she wants, she will come visit you tomorrow,” Denver told her and then ended the call.

Subrina couldn’t believe it. “D-Did he just hung up on me? How dare he… I must teach him a lesson.”

“Don’t worry, Mom,” Diane, who was in the background, smiled. “I already took care of it. Both of them will be shocked when they see it.”

“What did you do?”

“You will know soon.”

Subrina started to shake her head as she sat next to her daughter. “I don’t get it no matter how much I think about it. How can Catherine like that loser?”

“She’s naive, that’s why.”

“Haah,” Subrina could only sigh deeply. “We have to get her to change her mind.”

Diane didn’t say anything but was just smiling.

Meanwhile, Denver reached the hospital and paid the bill for both his and Catherine’s treatment using the card.

He received a twenty percent discount because the Den bank was one of the shareholders of the Spring hospital.

Brook started launching a barrage of fists which were silent but deadly. He maximized his speed and impact in the shortest time possible, firing all of his fast-twitching muscles to throw a series of precise punches.“You’ve got speed,” Denver was able to block all of the attacks with visible effort. He could feel the aura-burn, but he was smiling. “But you lack power, as one would expect from a gutterbird.”He deflected Brook’s punches with a swing of his arms.Brook’s arms were pushed to the side, momentarily freezing him in surprise.Unlike Brook who relied on high-speed punches, Denver threw a slow but much more powerful punch which involved full-body rotation, footwork, the shift of his weight and also the propulsion from aura-lightning.Altogether, Denver’s fist came accelerating.faster than it seemed.Still, Brook locally covered his chest with aura.jThe clash of energies unleashed shockwaves and heat, pushing the people and even the heavy wooden trunks away a few feet.In the

Brook was going past the royal castle on foot. His eyes briefly locked with the gate guard who wasn’t Ronny but the one who worked before him.Brook smiled, but the gate guard didn’t smile back.Brook silently walked away. After going some distance, he took his mobile out and looked at the list of people he had set as his targets.A total of thirteen.“Madam Silk… the woman who seduced and ruined the reputation of many celebrities and politicians… Nobody knows her real face as she always wears a mask. Killing her would get me close to many known personalities in the country.“The Phantom Broker, Lord Cipher, Blackwater Boss, the Silvervein family, the Seven Hands of the Night Market, and last but not least… the Goldblood Accountant. If I kill even one of these 13, it’s good enough to make me a don, but if I can send all of them to the bottom of the ocean…”He let out a wide grin.“I’ll become the don of dons! A mega don! The greatest don there is!”A couple of minutes later. As Brook

A wooden throne was carried by multiple men over a ladder.Brook was sitting on that throne and eating grapes. He threw the seeds at the passerby and enjoyed their smiles, knowing they were irritated inside.Just as they were nearing the castle, Brook puffed up his chest because he wanted to look confident, proud and fearless. One of the six men carrying the ladder stepped on a stone and lost the balance. He ended up falling forward and pulled the others along with him.As a result, Brook’s throne also fell on the ground.Brook managed to land on his feet, but he wasn’t pleased. He looked at the guy who caused the inconvenience. His smiled, slow and mean.“T-The stone… I didn’t see it,” the man on the ground begged. “It won’t happen again, sir.”“What’s your name?” Brook asked.“I-Idris,” he replied.“You are clearly not good at doing physical labor. Is there anything you’re actually good at?” Brook asked.j”Y-Yes, sir. I’m good at hacking,” Idris replied.“Hacking? Then… can you hack

At the council zone. All the people that attacked Sheryl were not able to subdue her.She didn’t engage in a fight with them, either, as it would be disadvantageous to her. If she were to take her sword out, she would be killing them. This would give Natalia even more grounds to punish her.So, Sheryl played it safe and kept dodging the attacks that came at her and used this fight to better her skills, especially her movement arts. The guards were no slouches. They used coordinate attacks to try and corner her, but her movements were so fast and angled that afterimages appeared.Natalia was irritated that the guards were attacking the mirages instead of the real body. She could see Sheryl darting in zig-zags, leaving shadows behind.“Shadow Wing Mirage technique… She’s closely avoiding the combo attacks of her opponents,” Natalia was thinking, but then she saw Sheryl stepping back, almost gliding backward while watching all the opponents and keep track of their movements. “Hawk Eye Re

Philip was taller than Denver and hand a calm but suppressing presence around him. There were many years of age gap between them. This wasn’t the first time their eyes met, but this was the first time they were facing each other. They never introduced themselves to each other, but they knew who the other person was.“Deforestration is a bad thing,” Philip said. “You should stop cutting the trees. It will affect the clouds and in turn the atmosphere of Hawk Park.”The group of men hacking the trees stopped what they were doing. They looked happy that they didn’t have to work anymore.Denver cast a cold glance at them, forcing them to work again.“Didn’t you hear what I said?” Philip asked a bit annoyedly. “What’s your reason for cutting these beautiful trees?”Denver was a bit surprised because Philip was asking a reasonable question. “It seems Sheryl hasn’t told you yet.”“Sheryl?” Philip had no idea who that was.Denver pointed at the casket in the distance. “Doula is inside.”“Doula

“Thank you for saving me,” the lady with her face covered in blood lowered her head before Denver. “My name is Barbaria. Please allow me to thank you with a meal.”“You’ve lost too much blood. First get yourself treated,” Denver was saying. “Oh wait,” he took out a red pellet from his pocket and tossed it to her.“This is…” Barbaria’s eyes widened. “Blood Pearl! It’s too precious for someone like me.”“Just take it,” Denver told her. “And don’t let yourself be bullied.”Barbaria quickly swallowed the pill without any help of water. The injury on her forehead was healing fast. She wiped the blood off her face and thanked him again. “I will never forget this favor. Let me go and bring some delicious food for you while you are working here.”“I’m not in the mood to eat.”“If you want to work, you gotta eat,” Barbaria replied. “That’s what my mother always used to tell me.”Denver’s expression changed as she left the scene. If he grew up with his mother, would she have also told him somet
