Third Person’s POV Surely, trying chocolates, visiting many shops, enjoying the breathtaking mountain scenery and lakes, and grabbing one of the whimsical trains were fun during the day. But as the sun goes down, and Switzerland’s after-dark alter ego takes over, some people took the time to have fun and blow off some steam. It was a crackerjack nightlife in the city, whether it meant having DJ-driven dance clubs, cocktail lounges, comedy venues and beautiful restaurants with modern and vibrant decors, just like the restaurant which Jillian and Gaston went into. After filling themselves with good delicacies, Jillian and Gatson went for a walk in the street. They found out that their hotel is near and that they can enjoy walking on the way to their place. As they walked, they watched how the city breathes new life into the nighttime — it glows on its boulevards, whispers on the town hall bridge, grunts in its bars, and hollers in its clubs. It was magical and at the same time lively.
The first day of Gaston and Jillian as a couple was also their last day in Switzerland. Before going back, they wanted to attend an auction house in Bonhoms. They heard that many old items will be sold in the auction. And Gaston wanted to buy something for his father and friends. On their way to the auction, Jillian asked Gaston if she looks fine.“How is it, Gaston? Do I look okay?”Tonight, she’s wearing a red dress that suitsuits perfectly her sexy figure. Holding her hand, Gaston smiled,“You look pretty, Jillian.”Jillian blushed. She is the girlfriend of her childhood sweetheart, and now the multi-billionaire Gaston, but she was still not used to this.“You look good too,” Jillian said.Gaston chuckled. Gaston is wearing a black suit and a silver Rolex watch. He should come here with guards, but he doesn’t want to gather too much attention.“Do you have any idea which one to buy?” Jillian asked.“Not yet. If I see good stuff, then I will.”Suddenly, Jillian stopped walking. “Wa
The auction went on. So far, Gaston hasn’t seen anything worth bringing back as gifts for his father and his friends. “I don’t think I can buy anything from here,” Gaston whispered to Jillian. “Right. What about going back to the market and looking for things to buy for Uncle and your friends?” “Sure. Let’s do that.” Gaston was certain that he would not see the good stuff in the auction. He was disappointed because he heard that this is one of the biggest auction events in the world. He was planning to leave as soon as the auction ended. However, he didn’t expect that the highlight part of the event would be the last part of the auction. “And for the last goods, we have this watch,” the auctioneer announced. Everyone looked at the watch on the screen. It has a unique design that no one has seen yet. Gaston found it interesting. “This watch was found in the tombstone of the Prince in Egypt. Ruins’ researchers found it 17 years ago. However, the mysterious history of this watc
Gaston traveled to the Future. He could tell he was because of the surroundings around the city. There are hoverbikes flying around, which means that the government would allow hoverbikes to operate on the main roads. To move around, some buildings were connected by a skywalk. Gaston looked up and saw the huge TV screens. [“President Holland won in the election as the new President of United States of America this 2027.”] He looked at another screen. [“72% of the companies dropped traditional passwords for Biometric technology. This will give rise to new authorization services for face, voice, eye, hand, and signature identification.”] [“Genetic engineering technology grew faster than computer processing speeds. DNA sequencing technologies and advanced analytics improved agricultural production, reduced reliance on fossil fuels, and extended human life expectancy. It is a new discovery that can change the world.”] [“The Orange is on the verge of bankruptcy? Who to blame?”] T
Edgar had no choice but to listen to Gaston’s story.Of course, he could hardly believe that a dead person came back alive. But Gaston knew one way to convince him.“So, you mean, in another world, another time, the two of us succeeded in launching the Protix Hoverbike?” Edgar asked in disbelief.Gaston nodded his head.Although it was unbelievable, the news made Edgar so happy.“That was… awesome,” Edgar uttered, and he burst out crying. “I was miserable for years after my wife abandoned me and sold my invention to another company. I spent years in jail, and now, I am living so hard.”Gaston stared at his friend and mourned his grievance.“Actually, I still could not believe that you are Gaston and you traveled from another time. But hearing this made me so fucking happy.”A smile spread on Gaston’s lips. Even the other time, Edgar believed him although he could not understand all of Gaston’s words.“Then, I have a question,” Edgar said. “If everything you said is true, why did you
“That’s right. I am the friend who died for you, Jurgen.” What did Jurgen feel when he saw his best friend? Remorse. Guilt. Happiness. “You’re alive. You are… alive.” Crying, Jurgen went close to Gaston. He held his shoulder, as he wanted to make sure that this is not an illusion which he usually saw every day. “I am so happy. So happy!” Jurgen cried out loud. His knees gave in, and he knelt on the ground, lowering his head. When Gaston saw it, he felt the pain inside his chest. Gideon was right. Jurgen regretted everything and he was willing to end his life for Gaston. “Sorry, Gaston. Please, forgive me,” Jurgen cried, kissing the floor. Gaston only looked down at him. “I was wrong. I gave up our friendship just for my greed. I… I deserve to die, Gaston.” Gaston knew Jurgen was serious because he did end his life just to turn back time. “I thought that if I have your life, if I became rich, and if I got Divine, I will be happy,” Jurgen added. “But no. Ever since you d
Gaston and Edgar hung out at the rooftop of the apartment building where Edgar was living.Looking at the bright City, they drink beer together.“It’s fortunate that my father didn’t take you to prison,” Gaston said to Edgar.Edgar glared at him.“I thought I am going to die while his guards were chasing after me. Be thankful that you are my friend.”“Yes. Thank you so much, Edgar.”“Huh! As long as you know.”The two of them took sips on their beers.“So, what is your plan now? You talked to Jurgen and stopped his death. But you still have one day left. Do you have another plan?”‘If I will go back to the present, I might as well learn more things in this time that will help me,’ Gaston thought.“Edgar, you still following the economic reports around the world, right?”“Of course! Even if I am living like this, I am still hoping that someday, I would be given a chance to start a business again. I have a lot of ideas, especially after the pandemic.”“Then, can you tell me everything t
Griffti, the Chairman of the Hamington Corporation, was working alone in his office. Even though years passed by, he was still having a hard time defeating his disease. Especially after his grandfather died in the hands of his cousin, Divine. ‘Will there be a day when I will feel peace?’ Griffti asked that to himself. Knock knock. He looked at the door of his office. “Sir, it’s me,” his secretary announced. “Come in.” The secretary came in, but he stopped and stood from a great distance. Serving Griffti, the secretary knew that his boss hates close contact. Or else, his panic disorder will attack. “Chairman, I need to report something.” “Tell me.” “You received mail.” “You could have just sent it to my email account.” “N-No. The mail was a real letter.” “Real letter?” “Yes. The man said that I should deliver this directly to you.” Frowning, Griffti responded, “Throw it away. You should be careful and stop receiving suspicious thing from a random stranger.” “Sir, the m
