Chapter 208:

Max Xanderson immediately pulled his phone out of his tuxedo and silenced it immediately.

As he turned, his gaze immediately met everyone's face staring daggers at him.

"Show some respect for the Southern Pacifier, you might end up on his kill list."

One of the guests, an older woman of about seventy years, immediately whispered into the ears of Max Xanderson as soon as everyone moved their gazes off Max Xanderson.

Her voice was a bit cold, detached as if she had lost something very dear to her heart and soul.

Max Xanderson gazed into her old and wrinkled face, his eyes searching through her eyes to see if he could sense any void in the older woman's soul.

"I'm Mrs Rose by the way, and I can tell from the looks on your face that you are wondering why I told you that."

Mrs Rose's voice was barely above whispers so as not to in any way interrupt the speech the Southern Pacifier was giving over there at the podium and draw attention to her direction.
