The Return of General Cobra claw

Chapter six

As Max Xanderson stared at Captain Barnes, Melissa immediately opened her eyes and coughed out loud.

"Melissa!..."

"Are you okay?"

Max Xanderson immediately asked as he ran over to Melissa who was now trying to stand up.

"I'm okay…so this isn't a dream?"

Melissa Stevens asked as Max Xanderson helped her get up from the ground.

"Melissa, I'm really…"

Taa!!!

Max Xanderson was interrupted by a slap to his cheeks.

Max Xanderson immediately shook his head and stared at Melissa Stevens.

He knew he deserved an even hotter slap as he was the primary reason for all the suffering that Melissa Stevens was undergoing.

"How dare you slap the Gen…"

Max Xanderson immediately raised his hand stopping Captain Barnes who was now looking for any available chance to get back into the good books of Max Xanderson.

"Why did you leave us?!"

"Why didn't you come back as you promised?!"

"Do you know the level of torture and disdain I have and my family have faced from my grandfather Lord Dylan Stevens?"

"We have been humiliated…thrown out of the Stevens Fort, all because of you."

"If I had left you to drown in that river my life would have still been perfect!"

Melissa Stevens lamented as tears wells down her eyes profusely.

Max Xanderson almost broke into tears as he immediately rushed in and hugged Melissa tightly.

He placed Melissa's head on his chest making her listen as his heart raced vehemently.

"Max, you shouldn't have left me and Chloe."

Melissa Stevens said, her voice was barely above whispers as everyone in the room stared at them in bewilderment.

"You and Chloe?"

"Who is Chloe?"

Max Xanderson asked, his voice was laced with a mixture of anxiety and curiosity.

"Shit!"

"Where is Alice Stevens and where is she keeping my daughter?!"

Melissa Stevens immediately yelled as she raced towards Arnold Lucas and gave him a knee to his head.

"Daughter?... When did we have a daughter?"

Max Xanderson's eyebrows furrowed in bewilderment as he stared at Melissa. 

"It was some months after your sudden disappearance…I found out that I was pregnant and I had Chloe Maxwell."

"So where is she now?"

Max Xanderson immediately asked, his eyebrows furrowed in a mixture of confusion and trepidation.

"My cousin Alice is torturing her somewhere I really can't tell, Arnold Lucas has a video of it."

Melissa said as he pointed at Arnold Lucas.

Before Max Xanderson could reach Arnold Lucas, he immediately pointed at the table.

"The video is on that drive…please don't hurt me…please."

Martin Lucas and Lord George Lucas immediately joined in the pleading.

"Please don't hurt him again…please."

Moments later, Max Xanderson is staring at the video of Alice torturing his 3-year-old daughter.

"Please, whatever you do, please save our daughter…please."

Melissa Stevens pleaded with tears in her eyes.

Max Xanderson immediately filled with rage, pulled out a titanium claw weapon and dashed at Lord George and pinned him to the wall.

"Do you have any last words for your sons?!"

Max Xanderson yelled as he held the double-blade-like weapon against Lord George's throat.

"Please don't kill me…this wasn't our doing."

"What are you yapping about?!"

Max Xanderson asked angrily as he pushed the blade closer to his throat, blood was already flowing down the blade slowly and dripping to the floor.

"The Stevens…"

"They were the ones who planned it all."

"It was the Stevens family who came up with the idea. They want to attend the Grand General's exclusive wedding, so they caught Melissa's daughter to force her to meet my son..."

"Please spare me…and my sons…please."

Max Xanderson immediately left Lord George Lucas and he tumbled to the ground holding his neck.

The blade cut wasn't deep enough but it had made an unforgettable mark on Lord George's neckline.

"Just pray that nothing happens to my daughter…because if something happens to Chloe…you all will see the other side of the black furnace."

Max Xanderson's voice was laced with venom and his eyes glowed with vexation.

Having said that he dashed out of the room and ran towards his military-grade Range Rover and rolled off to go find Alice Stevens and his daughter.

"Max!!!"

The faint voice of Melissa Stevens was all Max could hear from behind him as he sped off.
