Chapter-34 Past

Arriving back at home, Mr. Smith stops at the mansion and opens Lily's side of the car. She climbs out and waits for Damien to follow.

"You go ahead and make yourself comfortable, I'll be visiting a friend at the hospital... " Damien says, scooching over to her who was looking wary.

"It's not him, is it?" She looks at terrified, making him laugh slightly and shaking his head.

"You come back home, alright?" Lily says, looking at him worried.

"Yes, my love" Damien moves up out of the door frame, waving at her goodbye.

Lily turns and walks up the porch, entering his mansion. Mr. Smith stood proudly looking at Damien with a smirk.

"You know he would be proud seeing his son grow up to be a fine man" He says, before Damien slips back unto his seat with a large grin.

The drive up to the hospital wasn't long, Mr. Smith kept the travel short and entertaining with his chatter of his time with the old man while Damien on the other hand pondered off of what ifs of his old friend.
