Gladys bowed slowly, and then she walked away while Liam looked at her until she was out of sight.

He sighed softly and returned his face to Rebecca who was almost done eating the little portion of food on her plate, and dropped the fork she was holding in her right hand as soon as she saw that Liam was looking at her, pretending not to have been enjoying the food.

“Miss West, you seem to be enjoying the food, I guess it isn’t as bad as you said it was.”

“I just had to manage it, Lord Emrys. I didn’t want it to seem like I wanted to waste it. I promise that there are better ways to cook this. I can prove it to you by bringing some for you tomorrow.”

“Oh, no. There will be no need for that, Miss West. I am totally fine.” Liam retorted at once, and with a smirk on his face while Rebecca sighed in a little disappointment even though she already knew that Liam was going to decline her offer.
