Deadpan
The ride from the premises of the company back to the Castle took about thirty minutes as the cars moved through the busy roads occupied by other road users who were also on their way to their various destinations.

Rebecca stoked interval glances at Liam, waiting for the rogue opportunity to start up a conversation, but Liam’s deadpan countenance gave her no chance to say even a single word.

“Miss West?” Liam turned to look at her while they were getting really close to the avenue that led to the castle.

“Yes, Lord Emrys,” Rebecca answered with a bright smile on her face, unintentionally showing the excitement she felt from hearing her name from the young CEO’s mouth.

Liam waited for a few seconds while still trying to find out the reason behind the excitement on her face.

“How long have you been working in the company?”

“Three weeks, Lord Emrys. Just three weeks.” Rebecca responded while still maintaining her smile, nodding almost at the same time.
