Chapter 1: The Assignment!

Yes, talk to me, John.” Robert Williams, the exotic billionaire, worth $2 billion from his many businesses, said to his responder on the phone.

“Sir, you just made $40 million from last night's deal with Mr. Patrick.” The caller said to Robert in an overly excited tone.

Robert smiled, looked at the beautiful lady seated beside him as he replied to John, the caller.

“What do you expect, John? Am a fucking billionaire. Now send $5 million to my beautiful wife's account immediately.”

His last statement before ending the call sent the woman beside him gasping for breath. His beautiful wife, Sophia, the daughter of a multi-millionaire was lost in the thoughts of her rich husband sending her $5 million just like that.

“Honey! That's too much. You just gave me $10 million two days ago.” She said to him.

Robert looked her in the eye, raised her dropped jaw with his hand, and answered her,

“Nothing is too much for you, baby girl.” He kissed her and she hugged him tightly, appreciating his demonstration of love for her. A testament to the fact that true romance flourishes with finance.

The vehicle, a Rolls-Royce Wraith worth $2 million, arrived at its destination and the valets of the Hawaii Luxury Hotel opened its doors on both sides for Robert Williams and his wife, Sophia Richards, to come out.

The Hawaii Luxury Hotel was the only 7-star hotel in the city and Robert had booked the entire penthouse floor to spend the weekend with his wife. The cost was huge, but not huge enough for Robert not to enjoy the pleasure of his wife in an exclusive space.

Robert and Sophia were ushered into the hotel and they met the manager at the reception waiting for them with a plethora of attendants.

“You're most welcome to our establishment, Mr. and Mrs. Williams,” the manager said to the adorable power couple who wrapped arms around each other, “We promise to give you the most exclusive and amazing weekend of your life.”

The couple looked around, admiring the aesthetics of the place, a good place to drop their money.

“So, where is my $5 million at?” Robert asked the manager, expecting to be taking to the penthouse where he had invested his money for an amazing weekend with his wife.

“$5 million?” The manager asked, “What the hell is this fool saying?” He asked a colleague who was with him.

“Robert!!!” The manager yelled at him but got no response from Robert Williams, the two-billion-dollars billionaire.

SLAP!!!

A slap to his perfectly arranged face jump-started his lost consciousness back to the reality of where he was. In less than five seconds, Robert Williams had traveled from his billionaire reality to his actual reality of poverty and nothingness.

“Sir. Sir. Sir.” He answered as he jacked up to his feet, rearranging himself before his boss.

The man who stood before him, starring at him like he wants to strangle him to death was the manager of the Hawaii Luxury Hotel, the same man Robert had seen in his rudely interrupted dream. Rather than show Robert where his $5 million was invested, he grabbed him by his collar and dragged him to his office to show him something else.

They finally arrived at the office, quite a distance but it was nothing like the penthouse Robert expected in his luxurious dream. The manager brought out an envelope and handed it to him.

“I'm sick and tired of your wretched and pathetic self working here. You are fired!” The man exclaimed as he passed the letter of termination to Robert.

Robert went down on his knees and began pleading with his boss. He had always been diligent with his duties at work, out of exhaustion and the imagination of a better life, he slept off while on duty and was lost in a dream that would never come to reality. Not only was his dream an impossible imagination, it was about to cost him his job.

Being married to Sophia Richard hadn't been an easy task for him, he worked his life out just to please her and her family, but nothing he did was good enough for them. He is poor, wretched, and without hope for a better future.

After several rounds of begging and pleading with his boss, he finally got a last chance.

“This is the last chance I am giving your miserable life. Anything out of the ordinary again and you'll be jobless.” The man said to him before ordering him out of his office.

“Thank you, sir. I promise ne—” Robert tried to show his gratitude and commitment to never anger his boss again, but was immediately interrupted by his boss.

“Shut your fucking mouth. Who asked for your gratitude?” His boss said to him, “Now, take this order and get your sorry life to deliver it to the client at the penthouse.” His boss handed him a card that contained details of an order by one of their high-profile clients.

Robert took the card and hurried out of the office to carry on the assignment. As he did, he was continually reminded of the dream and it made him angry not only because it almost cost him his job but also because it was never going to happen. However, he wished it would even if it was for a moment.

Robert went to the bar, picked up the client's order, a bottle of their most expensive whiskey selling for $200,000, an amount Robert could never afford to own in his lifetime. He went up to the penthouse where the client lodged, all the while thinking about how rich the client was versus how poor he was.

‘I’m actually richer than him, you know,’ he said to himself quietly before adding, ‘but that's in my dream of course.’ He laughed out to himself in the elevator.

A few moments later, he arrived at the suite and knocked on the door and the client opened up. A man averaging the same height as Robert but huge and looking all expensive, covered with a towel to his waist and breathing a bit heavily. Seeing him, Robert knew he wasn't alone and whoever he was with had just made up for this man's money's worth. A five hundred grand a night deluxe penthouse suite at the only 7-star hotel in the city and now, a two hundred grand whiskey to quench the thirst.

'If I were him, I'd go more rounds till morning.’ He said gently to himself as he watched the man and smiled at his accomplishments.

“And why are you smiling, dog?” The man fired at him, trumping his fanboy admirations for the men's award-winning champion of the night, “You pathetic fool, get in, drop the bottle, and take your miserable self away from here.”

He quickly snapped back to his assignment and hurried off into the room to place the drink on the table while the man walked towards the bathroom. Robert turned to look at the lady whom the men's champion had just conquered, and the sight before him made him drop the bottle in shock.

“Sophia!” He shouted .
