Chapter 32: Responsibility

The night was beautiful. The night sky, alive with countless, shining and twirly stars all dancing to the beautiful night atmosphere. The road was almost empty, with only few cars zooming past them, one at a time. Everything else was free, but Robert did not feel same. His heart was heavy and he needed some rest. He looked out through the window admiring the beautiful scenery till his grandfather's voice caught his attention.

"So I'm not clear on what exactly you were saying, Robert. What happened back there?" Jude sat up in the car and cleared his throat, looking at Robert as he anticipated his explanation. For the few days he had known his grandson, he had come to know the kind of person he was, and was sure that Robert would never intentionally oppress another person for the sake of his just acquired power. Robert was decent and compassionate, that he knew.
