Sophia looked down at her phone, buzzing loudly as the screen beamed with an unforgivable, bright light. She gently picked up the phone as she tried to identify who was calling."Who is this?" She said aloud as she stared at the unknown number. The call timed out almost immediately and she sighed, setting the phone on the couch again. Then, it began buzzing again. "What? Who the fuck is this?" She grunted as she cussed bitterly, taking the phone I get hand again. "I can't just answer any call, I'm trying to get some rest." She spat roughly, almost at the top of her voice."What's wrong babe?" Michael asked aloud, from another part of the penthouse. "It's nothing, sweetie." She said loudly, still starting at her phone as it rang. "Just some unknown caller disturbing my peace." This time, her voice was almost inaudible, with a silent sigh following after.Reluctantly, she answered the phone. An irritated and uncertain look on her face as she slowly put the phone against her ear. She s
"But Treasure..." Sophia tried to protest but then, she heard the beep. Treasure had ended the call. She exhaled slowly as she relaxed in to the couch, her hair aback as she slid her hands through it once more. Michael stood close by with a little rectangular box in hand, looking at her."What's wrong babe?" He asked immediately with the most clueless look on his face. Sophia turned to look at him, tears welled up in her eyes with her stare. "Babe? Talk to me. What's wrong?" He asked again, rushing to where she was at once."It's just...." She tried to speak but her voice trailed off immediately, leaving Michael in a worried and almost frantic state."You're confusing me, babe. Just tell me." He continued, trying to b calm with his approach. He set the present he had gotten her on the table and drew closer to her, his body against hers in a comforting manner. Her stroked her hair gently."It was my sister. She just called all of a sudden." Sophia finally spoke up."Sister? You have a
"Sir." Juliet called out with will as she approached Robert's office. Her voice was filled with a certain level of certainty and determination, drawing Robert's attention immediately. Robert looked up at her, his eyes sparkling with hope at the intensity of her voice."What is it, Juliet? Did you see anything?" He asked at once, hoping with every inch of him that she had found something valuable."Yes, I found something." She affirmed strongly, setting some documents on his table. " It appears that the Mendev group has had a long history working with your grandfather, Mr Jude." She separated the files on his desk and pointed at the first one, at Robert's left."Here is Mr Mendev's first proposal. A proposal for a super mart project and your grandfather bought in to it." Robert nodded as he picked up the file and went through it slowly. "Go on." Robert said with a strong and commanding tone. This eyes still fixed on the file in his hand."The second one over there." Juliet continued,
Robert rushed down immediately, literally flying in to his car as he ordered the driver to start the engine. The driver adhered immediately, although his eyes spoke a different language, a language of great confusion. The bodyguard at the front seat and the driver exchanged glances, their eyes in bewilderment and wonder. Almost immediately, the driver hit the road speeding with the intensity of Robert's command. Not long in to their journey, the driver noticed a fleet of cars way ahead, coming in their direction. He looked on for a while and then, concluded that they were just mere road users as they were. "Sir!" The bodyguard at the front seat called out immediately as the fleet of cars stopped directly in front of them, blocking their way. Robert looked up from the files in his hands at once, a look of confusion and thoughts plastered on his face."What is this? Whose cars are those?" He asked immediately, setting the files on to the seat as he tried to peer forward. "I don't know,
Robert looked at the man sitting calmly in the car. Robert had never seen the man in his life. He tilted his head, many thoughts running through his confused mind as he wondered who the man was."Do come in, Mr William." He smiled in an amiable manner, his eyes squinting from his chubby cheeks. Although he was still confused, Robert got in to the car and sat down with out saying a word. He jerked a bit as the car door shut hard behind him. "Oh, my boy. Relax, okay? There's nothing to worry about. I just really need to speak to you.""Good afternoon sir." Robert finally said, moving towards the door at his back and away from the strange man. Robert's eyes did not leave the man's face. He looked from the man's white hair, to his fat face and the glasses over his eyes. Visibly, the man was an elderly but not as old as his grandfather."Yes, good evening. How are you?""I'm okay, sir." Robert said calmly, still wondering what was going on. " You asked to see me?""Oh yes. Do not mind me.
Robert took the card from Mr David, a perplexed look on his face. He gazed down at the card, as he wondered why they would they couldn't talk where they where."I don't understand, sir. Is there any thing you want from me? I'm really busy at the moment so I might not...""Calm down, my boy." Mr David interrupted calmly. "Just find some time so we will talk. It is very important." Robert looked away for a moment and tried to open his mouth but David interrupted again. "Okay. How about you give me your card instead? I'll call you later. Is that okay?""Okay, sir. Let me get it quickly from the car." With that, Robert pushed the door open and got out of the car. His eyes moved from the guard standing by the door to the rest of the cars littered around. As Robert walked back to the car, his bodyguard's eyes lit up immediately."Is everything okay, sir?" The bodyguard asked at once, turning to face Robert as he opened the door to the back seat. "I already called some of my colleagues to ge
Sophia quickly slid a nice, shiny, little watch into her wrist, her pace almost faster than the speed of light. Her shoes tightened to her feet in the same manner before she walked to the mirror in a rather gentle manner. "Why the rush, sweetheart? Where are you going to, by the way?" Michael asked with a slightly irritated look on his face."Why are you asking me that? Weren't you here when my sister called?" Sophia asked back, her tone set with anger."Well, I was. But that doesn't explain where you are headed. I've watched you move about this room in such hurry and I can't still understand why. For all I know, your sister only said she'll call you back, or am I wrong?""Oh! She called back not long after." Sophia said calmly, a sudden smile kissing the sides of her lips. "I'm sorry. You must have been in the bathroom when she called the second time.""I didn't know that and you were going all off on me. Am I not trying enough? Huh?""I'm sorry, babe. I didn't mean to make you feel
As Sophia drove in through the school gate, she felt a warm air of nostalgia sweep through her entire being. She smiled warmly as her head turned from side to side, admiring the environs of the University she had long graduated from. A semester had just ended so the school grounds were vacant, giving her room to drive freely with out any interruptions except from that of the school's security guards. But it didn't last long, for they both recognized her. As a former beauty queen of the school, she was quite known and cherished, even by the non-teaching staff of the school. But looking at the old guards at their duty posts, she felt bad for them. She felt bad that they hadn't achieved more out of life since her university days, but she swept the feeling off and focused on the reason why she had come in the first place. Her heart was almost too small to contain all the happiness she felt, since when her sister had called her earlier. Her eyes were filled with tears she tried so much to
