Chapter 41

On the second day, Taylor watched the sun begin to shift with the moon from behind her tent. At the faint sound of a partridge crowing, she was startled awake and began to realize there were chickens around.

"Maybe today I can try to catch a chicken," she thought.

She woke up and found that the rain had moistened the surrounding land. Fortunately, she had built a tent among the grass and bushes she had levelled. She tried to make some spears that she had made before.

She finally searched around her tent for the sound of the chicken that had crowed earlier to wake her up. The sky, which had been a little dark, was getting brighter, she sighed but began to wake up.

She tore the hem of her clothes a little, "it could be bad if I don't go back to where I was," she thought.

Quen, who had woken up earlier, noticed Taylor, even though she had been rash and reckless. He began to feel sorry for the girl who had not eaten since yesterday afternoon.
