Logan with a face that seemed shadowed with distress let out no a deep sigh -
“So that is it, someway and somehow they've found out about my deal and my plot and all this thanks to your brother, Andre.”
He seemed subjected to his thoughts and was a slave to it, it was obvious that he was already convinced that this was happening, and if it was happening again it showed clearly that it would be very much hard for him to trust her.
“Well if you will believe me, I would just like to say that I didn't say anything… Fine, I might have been a bitch to you in the past but that was all in the past, I can't harm you.”
There was a pause that filled the room and appeared to drift around it, as it was he just was frustrated as he didn't know what or who you believed.
Logan had just told her about that deal that was about to go south after a previous success and this time he didn't hold anything back, he told her exactly how everything had happened till she was left there as he was speechless and not able to utter a word or statement.
She blinks her eyes at him confused, thoughts running throughout her mind. She wouldn't say that she was broken but the fact that he'd suspected her first amidst all of this that was going on was too hard to control.
“So why would you think I am to blame?" She questioned.
Logan felt a nudge in his chest. At that moment, he could mention a thousand reasons for that but every single bit of them ended with how traumatized he had been about her past.
“You don't expect me to trust you right, after everything that had transpired between us." He muttered.
His words sank deep into her mind, it was obvious she couldn't blame him for failing to trust her, she just had to convince him fully about that part of her.
“Well if you must know, I did nothing of such." She grimaced.
He rubbed his face trying to think through the situation, perhaps because in a way he felt vulnerable she saw that need to trust her, he saw that need to —
“Logan there is something I need to tell you, well not something new but it is something you should pay attention to." She muttered.
He looked up at her feeling rather distressed.
“Tell me what Is it?" He enquired.
When he left her room, Josie couldn't tell what state of mind he was in —
It was good enough that he had listened without throwing back jabs at her but even at that, there was a need for him to do something more serious than what was being expected.
He could picture how it felt, but though it appeared like he had taken her words with a pinch of salt she was certain he'd pay attention to it much later.

Surrounded by the quiet stillness of the room, he sat at the seat that had been his favorite, he thought back to several incidents that might have pointed out the fact that she might've been right.
Listening to the sound of his labored breathing. There was that need for him to pay due attention to the entire situation that looked to be happening.
Every square inch of his lungs hurt and he felt even more frustrated, he didn't know how to deal with the entire news, especially the one that was just dumped right on his chest, he’d completed a few calls yet it all looked like the die was cast and he would have to face a
herculean task by working all by himself.
By now he had a drink in his hands still thinking about the situation.
“But how?” He questioned the situation again, confused.
Now, as he leaned against the table, he fought against the waves of blackness that threatened to overtake his soul.
He paces the room now after pushing himself up.
“Where in the hell was Charlie!"He grimaced.
He could feel that urge to vomit or do something rather drastic at that moment, he
had no idea how he was going to get out of this mess he’d landed in as all he did was stare at the cell phone on the table that looked back at him.
So far his attempt to contact Charlie, seeking him out with her mind, had only resulted in
a mere spark of more reasons to be worried, it had been three hours since he had sent him on the task, what if they've gotten him-
He picks up his phone and calls. “Why is he not fucking picking!" He grunted dropping it again with a thud as he continued to pace.
Regardless of what it was, it had quickly fizzled out leaving him feeling empty and devastated again with nothing to think about at that moment except the need to fix all of this.
Staring up at the sky through the window he watched as the clouds began to form across the sky.Letting his mind drift away from the pain that shot through him with every breath. He sips from another cup of martini.
At that moment he was rather devastated, of all times why should Jeff most especially just disappear this way-
He was trying to understand what she had said as well, Josie had pinpointed that Jeff was probably the one who had leaked out the secret, and with the way things were, it was hard to believe it was different from the case at that moment-
Running his fingers through his hair, as he was filled with that restless daze he realized that the temperature must have risen rather than the rate at which his heart was thudding must have caused the room to be warm
He wasn’t feeling as cold anymore. In fact, a thin film of sweat was forming on his brow and he wiped it off while closing his eyes and relishing the feeling of the cool air as it hit his warm body while he stood by the window.
Suddenly he popped open his eyes. When he heard his phone buzzing.
“Dammit, Charlie what took you so long…” he hollered.
" I have a lead boss, they need to meet with you,” Charlie muttered.
Logan was still caught In that daze that was at the back of his mind, he was troubled while thinking of the right thing to do at that moment, some part of his mind felt troubled by the sequence of events.“All this is looking rather weird." He mutters to himself thinking about the situation. All that filled his mind was the conversation he had with Josie, in a way he was starting to feel restless about everything that was happening-.Still, there was that desire deep inside of his soul, there was that need seeking to find answers to all the thriving questions that were happening at that moment.“What should I do?" At that moment the question was directed to no one but still sweat ran through his face that was bent over the table, he tried as he could to control his heartbeat which landed swiftly on the paper that was right there on the table. He rubbed his face and took a look at his watch… Should he just leave at this moment? The thought crept through his mind but at that moment
Back at the apartment … Josie kept pacing the room as she was feeling rather unsettled, she opted to walk to the window and looked out of it anticipating his return but still, there was nothing to look at than the vast darkness that was looming outside the window. The evening reminded her of a lot of previous times as it had a similar feeling, a call of deja Vu or whatever but she was trying to push the thoughts out of her mind. The door creaks and she turns to see Amber walking in with a tray. She looked away, tearing her gaze off the woman and focusing Instead back outside the window.Amber could sense her distress. She made her way to where she was at the window as she looked to have questions-“Still no calls," Amber questioned as she was worried as well." There is still no communication from him and trust me.” She sobered up quickly.Amber was consumed by the same dark feeling that looked to be hovering in the room." This doesn't feel right, they had been gone for hours and it i
Logan, feeling disturbed had walked out of the room where he had been with Charlie. It had been three hours and yet there was no sign that anyone was coming, at least not at that moment. The more he tried to understand the situation, the harder it was for him at that moment.“What do you want to do about that?” she asked him at that moment while trying to deal with the situation. It was very difficult for him to understand the entire situation, and for a funny reason, he just thought to tell her about everything at that moment.Walking back to the room, he was still feeling rather unsettled about all that was happening at that moment. He settles down and again his attention is turned away from where he was to Charlie. This time he was rather impatient with his question -“Are they still not here?" He questioned. As he did he took notice of the fact that Charlie had been on a call before now, there was that feeling he was getting over and over again about the entire situation.“I don't
This felt like the most complicated situation he could ever find himself in at that moment, with time passing he thought of what more to do, Logan could feel that sharp pain at the back of his head, he turned as he felt a sharp pain at the back of his head. He was so far lost in himself that it didn't cross his mind a bit what had happened, he tried touching his head and could see a blood-stained hand— it was going all dramatic, especially with the fact that he was Still confused about what to do.Time had passed, and when he was finally able to get himself up, he wasn't confined but still, that bit of darkness hovered around, it was still feeling all blurry but slowly he could make out everything—he could still feel the need for him to pacify everything that seemed to be going on at that moment.“Boss… “ The voice seemed quite familiar but had that bit of sarcasm. He had looked around and when he saw who it was that had spoken he felt rather confused -Slowly it came to his memory,
Something seemed weird about everything as at that moment, she was feeling rather confused about why she was having the strange feeling at the back of her mind, it had been three hours since they had arrived back at the apartment and presently she was pacing around the room thinking of what to do about the entire situation. She was still pacing around the room when Amber walked to where she was at that moment.“Are you still here waiting for him?" She had asked. She couldn't get herself to think less about the situation, there was that feeling that something was wrong, she couldn't tell what it was but at that moment there was something at the back of her mind and she couldn't dispute it “I am just worried." That was all she could say at that moment." He will be fine.” She had muttered. “Well, what else would you call it?” she muttered.“You are just getting worried over something that is normal… He might just be in the traffic.”"Traffic? “ She grimaced." You are just getting
When he walked in that moment, Josie looked up at the man — Charlie.Something looked weird about him and she couldn't wrap her fingers around him at that moment but she could tell that something was weird about him, but what it was she couldn't wrap her mind around it at that moment… “I came to check on you." He had muttered when he walked in.Josie who looked up at him with a gesture that seemed displeased, looked around and could see the State for the room."You are taking things too hard on yourself.” He muttered. She was rather frustrated as she didn't know what to do at that moment. If there was anything that she wanted at that moment, it was to have that bit of … That peace. All she wanted at that moment was to see Logan walk through the door as she was still finding it hard to believe that he was dead." I am not feeling too well, I think there is a need for me to see the doctor.”He had looked at her as though rattled by what she had asked.“There is something I want to t
When she walked into the room she looked around and there he was in the midst of all the turmoil that was going on at that moment, he was the last person that she was expecting to see and at that moment, everything was rather dawning on her.“What are you doing here Andre ?" She had asked immediately as she walked in.With a smirk right there on his face he looked at her still feeling that bit of ego that had always wanted.“I am here to take you home." he clamored. It all seemed like she was going insane with all that was going on at that moment, it was harder to comprehend the entire situation at that moment. She stood there confused with the entire situation running through her mind with that flash of lightning.“I don't understand why wouldn't you want to take me home?" She had asked. For the first time since he had arrived, he stood up from the bed and turned away from her, he stopped at the window for a very bit before making his way to where she was standing, and as he did sh
The call hung from her hands as she was still rather shocked by everything that was happening at that moment, she thought through the situation again leaving heavyweight I'd thuds in her heart. At that moment, at the minute, it trickled away slowly leaving her heart thudding heavily she didn't know how to give an answer to the most thriving questions in her Soul that second.“Are you certain about the result?" She asked again. It had just come to her that she was crying his child, Logan's.She should be excited but at that moment tears ran from her eyes slowly-.She was still trying to comprehend all the news at that moment when Andre Walked right on again, she wiped her tears away so fast that he couldn't see them when he had walked in.“Are you ready? It is time." As he gritted through his teeth, he was left aggrieved by the entire situation, he didn't know what to do that moment, as she was left feeling rather unsettled about all that seemed to be happening.Time races through her
