CHAPTER FOURTY

While still trying to understand the situation, Logan's gaze at the strange man was intense enough that he could see the dark feeling it triggered In his chest. The fact the man stood next to him made it very complicated for him as he couldn't think of any twist that would've prompted the entire incident.

He had one question at the tip of his lips and it wasn't just a matter of moments before the words were bursting out.

“Who the hell are you!"

“Good evening, I'd be your new guard, more like a bodyguard."

"Bodyguard?”

The word seemed surprising to him enough that he gave me a stone look, he turned away to leave and at first, the man who towered over him tried to follow him.

“You don't need to,” Logan stated firmly. “Tell me who put you up to this?"

He sounded serious with the question. The last thing he wanted to do was get into an argument not after the long day he had or the shock he was putting up with.
